    Mediocre hotel

    Carlton at the sports bar and the staff at Zen were the highlights of our trip- both outstanding. Our butlers Shawn and Ryan were attentive and extremely helpful but overall the hotel was lacking in several areas…from lack of hot water to broken air conditioners to the rented cabanas not having functioning items as advertised the hotel itself needs some assistance.

    Kerice and Jounior made a special trip extra special!

    This was my fifth trip to Blue Waters after going to White Sands four times. This time I was with my best friend, celebrating 50 years of friendship. It was my friend's first time here, and to Jamaica, and she was blown away! On a previous visit with my husband, we had Jounior and Kerice as butlers, and they were phenomenal, so we requested them this time. They are both partnered with others now, but they came together to serve us. That sure made me feel special. :) Being a multiple repeat customer, we were upgraded to Diamond Club, hence the butlers. The service on the beach was superb all the time, including ordering our lunch there. Neither of us got up early enough to score a bali bed every day, but the chairs were very comfortable and we were always able to get a small table to use as well. There were several days that there were towels and personal items on the bali beds, and no one ever came back to use them. Rude. Certainly not the resorts fault, but very rude of guests to do this. There were always plenty of towels though, no matter what time of day we went, and we were always able to find a seat at the beach. The pool chairs were reserved even earlier. We would be on our balcony at 6:00 am watching people come out with a pile of towels to reserve, and if we went at 8:00, there were none left under the shade umbrellas. Only one day we were at the pool, and the service was great there too. We always had piping hot water, even during the 5 - 7 rush. We were on the 5th floor of building 4. Our air conditioning always worked well too. We ate at the four ala cartes that are available to BW guests. Zen, Italian, Indian and steak house. We had great food in all four, and went back to the Italian again. We also ordered one night from room service. They were quite fast, which surprised me after reading reviews on here. The Cobb salad was not anything like we get in Canada, but it was still tasty. The last night there, we went to the buffet. My friend kept commenting on how great the buffet was every time we went there for breakfast. We definitely never went away hungry! Berry at the lobby bar was great. They all were there, but he just seemed to have more personality. We got most of our drinks from there in the evening. Almost every staff member that we passed would say hello to us, and most would ask how we were doing. I never met an unfriendly staff member. I don't know how some of these guests could say they only met rude staff, because in all my visits, I have never met any. Finally, our butlers. O.M.G. They were the best! One of them was always available to walk us to our reservations. They brought us champagne and water on the beach. They brought us fruit plates. They would stop and chat with us any time they saw us. My birthday and our friendversary was the same day. They decorated our room with balloons, towel animals, flower petals, and a room banner that said 'Happy Anniversary' (they didn't have a Happy Friendversary one lol). They also left us goodies for both occasions. By themselves, Jounior and Kerice are great. Together, they are unbeatable! I was so honoured that they came together to serve us. My friend and I have already agreed to go back in 5 years for our 55th, but I know for sure that my husband and I will be back long before then. When you find a resort that treats you like royalty and welcomes you back with great hugs, why go anywhere else? Thank you again KAQC!

    After 14 nights felt like I had to write this as before we came I was so nervous after reading the reviews … but all I can say it’s been AMAZING , we were a group of 6 adults 7 children all staying on the blue waters side the staff are wonderful we never encountered anything but pure love and respect The food has been great, zen was super fun , had delicious jerk chicken everyday … the drinks are good , cocktails are great The room are spotless and spacious with fantastic sea views The vibe team are brilliant and bring a great energy and always had time for our kids Want to say a special big up and thank you to our amazing butlers Shawn and Ryan who made our holiday they really was so amazing ❤️ Hope this helps anyone who our having second thoughts we have had the best time !!

    Could have been better

    They don't have much entertainment for the family. The pools and pool swim up bars close at 6pm which is to early. After dinner your not left with much to do. The rooms are not good. My refrigerator was broken my son had water dripping in the ceiling light. The lobby has one bar No indoor entertainment.

    Bougie not!

    It took over an hour to check into the Diamond Club my room was nice but the service was awful. It took 1-5 hours to get anything from my butler. I didn’t get a wake up call on time nor did the bell person show up on time. The hotel tries to act upscale when it’s not. The service is bad and the food was terrible. I don’t care what others say. My food was always cold. I got a grilled cheese for late night snack and it was semi warm not melted cheese. I had a room was a leaky bathroom on day three they offered to give me a new room I just stayed. I won’t come back. I paid apx 600 per nite for a swim up pool. It’s not worth it. I will say the swim up rooms on the family side look nice . It overlooks a lady river
