    First time to oahu

I really enjoyed my time at Moana. Stayed four nights. We were moved into this hotel because Princess were doing renovations or something. All balconies were inaccessible due to a balcony mishap earlier in month. We were provided us $400 credit to use during our stay so I was happy with that trade. Our balcony faced another hotel. We had Buffett breakfast each day. The waffles were 👌👌👌👌👌. It's pricey for food and bevvies but I imagine that's all Waikiki hotels. It was my first time to Hawaii . They were generous with their wine pours so that was great! My bed was super comfy. The room was clean. Bathroom was a good size. We were in tower wing on 17th floor I was using a knee walker as I had a fracture and was non weight bearing. The hotel was accessible. I found all the ramps out back by day three lol. The cobble stones was a bit uneven but just took my time. Enjoyed the pool as I really couldn't get one beach easily. Pool was fabulous. East to get in with the stairs and rails.

    Can’t wait to come back!

The staff earned all the ratings and kudos of this review. They’re outstanding, from housekeeping to the beach/pool area to checkout. I am disabled but nowhere was I made uncomfortable or frustrated. The room we were in was spacious and had a lovely partial view. There was a little awkward situation for the bathroom (there was a tall tub but there were grab bars but I do not fault the staff. They accommodated us without a complaint. They were professional, quick and efficient! In my opinion, the restaurant Veranda was the gem of the hotel: we went to afternoon tea there three times, the only time I ever went back to the same tea place again and again. The ocean view was stunning. The food was consistently fresh and tasty. And the staff, especially Kala and Daniel greeted us with such warmth and sincere joy. They elevated the afternoon tea to a delightful experience each and every time. My friend and I talked about returning to Moana and yes, to the beautiful Veranda and their tea!

    Worst hotel in Waikiki

I’ve stayed here three times now and every time I’m more and more disappointed in this place! I asked for and reserved a quiet room one not facing the street where it’s like the Fourth of July ! $2800 for four nights for a courtyard room where I have Las Vegas inside my room instead! This is what I got when I specifically asked for a room because I’m on a business trip, and I need some peace and quiet! This is literally the last time I will stay here, I’m so disgusted by this place, its old windows have no soundproofing the walls have no soundproofing… it’s a miserable place to stay and you get to pay through the nose for that privilege!

    Honeymoon ❤️

Perfect location for our honeymoon. The hotel has such charm and history. View from our room in the tower was breathtaking! Staff was helpful and friendly. Craig, bartender at the beach bar was the ultimate gentleman!! Be sure to check out the shops.

    Wonderful location and experience

My SO and I were upgraded to this hotel so my review comes from that perspective. We had a wonderful time! The location cannot be beat - it was so convenient coming downstairs and having the amazing ocean view and prime beach location right outside the back door. We spent a whole day just relaxing on the beach & going up to the room to change right before the sunset/dinner. Right outside the front of the hotel is lots of restaurants and shopping so it was easy to run out for a snack/lunch, etc. Plus the view from the hotel bar was amazing! The hotel had this nice scent whenever we entered. Also the man at the front desk sent us a nice welcome gift, which was much appreciated. We also liked the live music Wed-Sun both outside and in the lobby. It was fun to come back from dinner to some piano music and "dance party". The staff was really thoughtful - always inquiring if we needed anything or giving us a nice greeting. Though our bathroom was small, how much time are you really spending in the room anyway?? We had a great time at a wonderful location!
