Water park – As previously shared, our Water Park continues to operate seamlessly, boasting an array of 13 monster slides, four splash pad slides, two lazy rivers, and a range of pool amenities. The response from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive. Due to external factors, particularly unusual weather conditions in the region, the completion of the final monster water slide has experienced a necessary extension. To address this, we have proactively rescheduled its availability for our mutual clients to October 15th.

Jul 13, 2025Disappointed for what we paid
Food for the most part was mediocre, however the food in zen was good. Service we received on many occasions was not of 5 star standard but we mainly believe this was down to the lack of staff that are employed to deal with the amount of guests. This resort has potential but unfortunately it is not up to the standard of what we payed a lot of money for. Food was pretty poor a lot of the time but as I previously said zen was good. Breakfast buffet was the same everyday with pretty boring options. There was a few options for lunch which were a good idea like the grazie to go but unfortunately the queues were far too long and not what we expected when we booked a 5 start holiday resort. I feel disappointed with our experience as a whole as we felt that we was somewhat discriminated against by certain employees due to us not speaking Spanish and we felt that people who spoke the native language were treated much better. The staff here work hard and for the most part do their best to make everyone’s experience good but the resort is extremely understaffed for the amount of people that stay here. If more staff were employed it would’ve been a better experience I believe. Pools and bar facilities were good with activities everyday which was good for all to enjoy. Aqua volleyball with estefany was the best activity that we did. The beach was disappointing with the seaweed and murky water but we understand that this has nothing to do with Royalton as they try their best to keep the beach clear. Overall we probably would not return here due to issues I have outlined.

Great hotel with great pool areas and waterslides but hotel in general needs some attention to it
Currently staying at the Royalton Splash. The hotel facilities are great with plenty to do for kids with the water park and large pool areas. The entertainment at night is good and something for all ages to enjoy. The staff work extremely hard and are always about to tend to you. I couldn't fault any of the staff during my stay. There are a few downsides that I have experienced. The rooms are nice and spacious and the a/c works well. After being in my room for a few days I dropped something and it rolled under the dressing table drawers. I had to use my torch on my phone to find it and I was disappointed at the amount of dirt and hair that was underneath the drawers and it certainly didn't belong to me. I then looked under the beds and they were needing cleaned aswell as there was quite a lot of dust and hair gathered under them in the middle. I didn't report it straight away as I wanted to see if it would get cleaned when the maid service were in next but unfortunately it never. The beds are comfy and the sheets were always cleaned and beds made. The chairs on the balcony most definitely need cleaned or replaced. They have padded cushions on them with lots of stains on them. The sun loungers are the same. The cushions are needing replaced with more water resistant ones that can be cleaned. Take a beach towel with you as the ones the hotel provide are just basic and not very big. The food at the hotel is average. The buffet has a good choice but lots of the dishes didn't tell you what it was and some of it was cold as it had been lying too long. The restaurants are very good but it was quite difficult to reserve them through the app so didn't always get a reservation for where I wanted. The price of snacks in the shop is a complete rip off. There is absolutely no need to charge that amount just because there is nowhere else to buy anything. $10 for a packet of cookies. That's just ridiculous and shouldn't be allowed. On the whole we have enjoyed our stay but the hotel most definitely needs a bit of updating and fresh paint around the place especially around the lazy rivers and the pools need cleaned more. I've stayed in a few 4 and 5 star hotels and the cleanliness and maintenance around the areas have been outstanding but this hotel does lack in that area a bit. In my opinion it's time for the hotel to invest some of their money back into the place and get it back up to a 5 star hotel that it wants to be. Would I come back? The answer would probably be yes if they made some much needed upgrades to the hotel as a whole with the likes of freshening the place up a bit as some parts are definitely tired looking.

Terrible place food really bad. The staff rude. Don't go there is terrible. The drink bad the staff rude the food really bad quality. Stay in hard rock cafe or excaret.

Not 5 star. Dissatisfied
We saved for ages for this supposedly 5 star hotel. It’s a 4 star at most and that’s being generous. The food it basic at most. the al a cart restaurants are not worth a visit except the zen one which is by far the best. People up at crack of dawn reserving sun beds far too many people and. You can’t leave the complex cause of where your situated unless your willing to spend a fortune on taxis. Honestly i know for a fact you could get a lot better for your money. I wouldn’t waste your money or time going here
