Good stay at Mandalay Bay
Large resort with enormous wave pool as key attraction. Smoke free casino still had random smokers unfortunately. Interior hallways and room furnishings need updating but they are still ok and not unattractive. Double sinks and separate shower and nice tub in my double queen room was awesome and the beds were comfortable. The AC worked well enough and my room on the 9th floor with a pool view was quiet enough at night to sleep. No free coffee in room was a bummer. Check in was a wait of about 20 minutes. Multiple restaurants within the hotel resort and connecting interior mall to the Luxor with various operating times which was inconsistent. Recommend Dellas at the Delano for breakfast and the Border Grill at the MB. Room price was slightly above expected price and there’s a $43 per night resort fee not sure what it was for.

Don’t let the advertising fool you.
First let me say the room was fine great view. The people smoking dope next door was terrible and the hotel staff did nothing about it . The food in the hotel, not worth the money. Be prepared to pay $150 to $700 for any shade at the pools. Monday morning they close all the pools except the wave pool. I have been to many resorts in Vegas this was the most expensive and the worst experience. I found the majority of the staff, just don’t care.

Don’t try to get Uber here
Staying here now and I have to vent about the Uber situation at this hotel, There are signs all through the casino directing to the Uber pickup area, in the parking garage (out back). Then an official looking ride share area Uber, Lyft in the garage. Even an enclosed waiting area. I had two different Ubers cancel on me because they went to the front of the hotel. One I texted after the app said he’d arrived and he was nowhere to be found, he said there’s no parking garage at Mandalay. REALLY?!?! Then where am I standing? So today I found out there’s actually a SECOND Uber area in the front of the hotel, down one level from registration, far away from the Uber area in the garage. Mandalay, if you are going to have two separate Uber pickup areas, how is the driver to know which one to go to? So irritating.

Like an OLD Dying man in his last hours of Life...
I have been to Vegas over 100 times and have never experienced what I experienced last weeked. Not only was half the casino not working, slot machines down, sportsbook down, no TV in the room, limited internet, no upgrades available, etc....The customer service could give 2 craps about it. I was repeatedly told there was nothing that could be done about like it WAS MY FAULT. The workers attitude towards these issue was appalling. For example If I played a slot machine and wanted to cash out I had to wait almost 30 minutes to get my cash AND THEY PERSON WHO CASHED IT WAS PISSED OFF AT ME after I complained. Is this real life? I will never ever return to this joke of a hotel for as long as human days are possible. All my sports bet that I won I have to now mail in could theycould not pay me my cash. Hey MGM here is an idea...pay the ransom. You are going to lose customers by they thousands on a daily basis so at this point pay the cyber ransom and move on. The way they do not value their customers makes me believe that they deserve what they are getting. Bottom Line: AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Rethink Pricing
24.00 for Fiji Water; 14.00 for Peanut M$Ms; 12.00 for Pringles. This is ridiculously outrages! People from all walks come to this facility and not just the rich and wealthy. Overpricing leaves a bad taste in the mouths of people that work hard and save to travel on vacation.
