    Another enjoyable stay!

We’ve been coming here over many years, first as THE Hotel, then as Delano and now as W Las Vegas. We keep coming back so I guess that shows we like it! The suites are excellent and very well appointed. The hotel is generally quiet and we weren’t disturbed through this 6 night stay which was good as we also got married at Valley of Fire whilst there. That said, we did notice a few dubious groups in other parts of the hotel but then it is Vegas! It would be nice if it was 21 and over again like it used to be… There is the issue of the minibar/ lack of fridge space as a lot have commented. That is frustrating but again that’s Vegas! We also had a slightly dodgy air conditioning control which meant we had to keep adjusting it. Housekeeping was also hit and miss during this stay so make sure you check your room’s going to be done, even if you leave the make up room light on. It’s probably a 4.5 star really but all in all we’d definitely return again and recommend this hotel. It’s also a lot less manic than many others in Vegas and they do comp thjngs based on your MGM gambling turnover!

    Falls Short of Expectations

The W Hotel Las Vegas feels outdated and underwhelming for a brand known for style and service. The lobby is unusually dark and lacks any welcoming energy. Rooms are all suites, which is a nice touch—they’re spacious with a large bathroom and big bathtub, plus a separate living room. But beyond the room, the hotel lacks any real amenities. Dining options are very limited, and the on-site café has extremely restricted hours—it’s not even open in the evening. Even basic conveniences like swimming or grabbing a snack require walking over to the Mirage next door. Despite this, the hotel still charges a $50 daily resort fee, which is hard to justify when there are virtually no facilities of its own. A W-branded hotel relying on a neighboring property for essential services is disappointing. Overall, the experience doesn’t match the W brand reputation or the price tag.

    So-so

Air vents look like they've not been cleaned in years. There's also "no guaranteed check-in time" so be prepared to wait until 6pm or later

    Modern, Comfortable, and Quiet

We stayed two nights at the W Las Vegas, which is part of Mandalay Bay, and had a great experience overall. The vibe is modern and upscale, but not stuffy. Our Stay Well W Premier King Suite felt spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and big bathroom. The property shares amenities with Mandalay Bay, which means easy access to lots of restaurants and shows, but W itself is tucked away and quiet, perfect if you're not looking to be right in the chaos. We appreciated that. The lobby and elevator areas had a sleek, moody style. It felt like a boutique hotel inside a bigger resort. Service was friendly across the board, and check-in was quick. We also used a travel credit through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, which gave us a $200 credit toward our stay and another $100 property credit, those perks definitely helped with value. One thing to note: resort fees still apply even with booking sites that show a lower total. Ours added up to $113 for two nights, so just factor that in. But all said and done, after credits, we paid under $200 for a luxury Vegas stay, which felt like a steal. If you're looking for a quieter corner of the Strip with style and Mandalay Bay convenience, the W is a solid pick.

Fun 3 day trip goes sour because of a water bug and racist hotel manager

There was a water bug in our room. We went downstairs and complained to the hotel manager(Darren) who was a complete racist. My family and I came back up to the room from going on a walk to ABC Store. When we got back the water bug was in the bathroom. We had dinner plans for 6pm that all went down the drain. Darren gave us another room but didn’t comp us for that night or for losing our dinner reservations which I have never experienced there. We can tell he was a total racist towards us because of the color of our skin. He was very nonchalant and definitely non caring towards our needs and the inconvenience it caused us. So we let him to speak to someone else while we waited and spoke about our reservations that went down the drain. We heard him offer the couple food credit and comped the room for the night but they were a different race. So I came on trip advisory to expose him and maybe someone ranked higher than him would do something about this pure racist. Mind you I took pictures of the water bug on the floor. Our trip was ruined.
