Worst Hotel I ever stayed
Based on my experience at the other Palladium hotel in Cancun, I booked this hotel. My biggest mistake! This Hotel is poorly maintained. I paid extra for a suite with an ocean view ( #2107). The whole tower had cracked walls on the hallways and poorly painted, stained stairs; my room alone had a part of the door frame coming off where the security lock chain was. Anyone could easily break in. There were leaks all over the hallways. My mattress had all the trims coming off, and our room was close to a construction site, where drilling was done in the early morning. Not what you expect during a relaxing vacation. The fact that there is only one Buffett site, with no AC, and the other 3 restaurants were also with very poor AC was very unpleasant to dine in. This Hotel gives a bad name to the Palladium chain of hotels. I will not book ever again anything with this name. I'm a traveler, and I vacation very frequently to Mexico. I brought friends with me, trusting this hotel's amenities, and everything is a false advertisement.

Dated, needs remodel, better communication
First, the good: Nadia, who sold us our spa treatments, was an absolute joy. She always had a smile on her face. We bought two days worth from her. Rayo, at the Quiet Pool bar, another fabulous employee. She was always smiling, had our drinks ready and was dancing and singing with us. She is a treasure! The spa is amazing and gorgeous and the staff was incredible! Now, the bad: We paid for a private transfer to and from the hotel. We gave them our flight information, as requested. When we arrived there was much confusion on who we needed to talk to. When we finally found the right folks, we were told it would be TWO HOURS before our driver would arrive. I called the Palladium and the representative repeatedly lied to me about the traffic and construction (there was construction, but the traffic was normal) and then told me our driver was at the entrance to the airport but it would be an hour because of the construction. When I let him know this wasn't my first time in PVR, and that there was no way it would take an HOUR to get into the airport, he suddenly feigned that he couldn't speak English. When I went back to the representative at Grey Line he called our driver and our driver confirmed that no one had called him. We get to the hotel and are immediately joined by one of the Travel Club salesman. At this point it had been 9 hours since we left our hone and it was SO HOT and humid I just wanted to go change and lay by the pool. He told us we couldn't make dinner reservations for that night (even though we could) and begged us to just let him 'sign us up for a presentation' and we could cancel if we wanted. We finally said yes to get him to stop. We canceled later. The room was dirty with stains on the walls and the balcony with the 'panoramic view' that we upgraded to was a joke. It barely fit one chair and a small table and our view was obstructed. Annoyed that I paid for that upgrade. The bathroom had mold in it and the 'jet tub' was basically an apartment sized tub with jets in it. Ugh. The bed was apparently picked up on the side of the road because neither my husband or I got restful sleep it was so bad. We woke up each morning in pain. I guess that's one way to sell the spa treatments! The main pool bar was dirty and smelled horrible. The Quiet Pool was dirty. The pads on the pool chairs need to be replaced. The beach chairs are ratty and torn. Towel service was hit or miss on what time they would be at the pool.

Beautiful Resort - Room for Improvement
We came here on our honeymoon. The room was not ready even by 4pm, the checking process was annoying. The room location was perfect for us, but there was major construction above and below us and we hated being in the room during the day. The beach was beautiful and clean and perfect. The adult pool was OK. Could have some sort of entertainment there, maybe some music or some games. Maybe more service around the pools. I never had anyone ask me if I wanted a drink by the pool or the beach, and this is a "5-star" resort. I think the staff was super.friendly and have nothing but good reviews of the restaurant staff and the room service and front desk staff. The concierge service lacked for us personally, but I do know that some other people had some great concierges. Need to be much for clear about what is an extra charge and what is included in "all inclusive"
