A Great Time!
Myself and my family of 5 were very please with the accomodations that were provided with the day pass we purchased! The drinks kept flowing and the food was bountiful and delicious. Shout out to the jerk spot - that hit the spot. The bar staff were all nice and accomodating. That staff at the beach were great as well. Overall a great experience!!

Trip
Everything at this Hotel was amazing except the front desk workers, very unfriendly it was like I was interrupting there time! All the other employees were very friendly and polite. Food choices were great, some days the food choice was the same but still good.

Did not meet expectations! We have stayed at numerous Riu’s and other than the location was very disappointed.
Our view was AMAZING but we did pay for the upgrade. Our room was very spacious but furniture needs updating as it is very worn and stained. When we arrived our room was ready which was great but when we got to our room there was a empty soda can and dirty glass by coffee pot, floors had sand on them, and decorative bed runner looked like it had not been washed in a very long time. We removed it from the bed immediately. Pros: The air conditioning works very good in the rooms, good water pressure in showers, and we always had plenty of clean towels/wash-clothes.. Restaurants: You have to eat so best choice is stick with buffet. Major issue: on two separate occasions I encountered a roach. One of the times my husband and I was at the table and I went to take a drink and my husband stopped me because there was a roach crawling on the glass and the second time I was scooping fruit from the buffet onto my plate and a roach was in the fruit. A worker was standing close by, I showed her, gave her my plate, and never touched the fruit again. Another night, I was drinking water and kept smelling something and smelled my glass and it smelled like fish. Not sure if they are washing the glasses with same water they are cleaning fish with or what but I had my husband smell it just to make sure and we smelled the same. The staff were nice but not overly accommodating or attentive. We travel a lot and always do all inclusive resorts. Normally we don’t ask for anything as there is always a server, hostess, bar tender, other hotel staff around to see if you need anything. Once we were seated for our meals and given our first beverage they never returned unless we waived them down for a refill. We are generous tippers but this trip we did not tip as much as we normally do. Pool bar: We were in the pool and asked the bartender what drink everyone was drinking around us as it looked good. We were told, not sure, you will have to go ask the bartender on the other side of the bar which meant getting out of the pool and walking around to that side. All he had to do was take a couple of steps inside the bar to ask that bartender but he did not offer and turned his back. Best part about this resort: views if you pay to upgrade and the beach is nice. Only problem, all the vendors trying to sale you something. You can’t really relax and enjoy yourself due to constant interruptions by them. Entertainment staff did a great job. We enjoyed the shows that we watched. W

Exemplary service
Each and every staff member was polite, professional, helpful and friendly! I lets my phone on the beach. In the short time I realized it and headed to look for it, it had already been returned to the front desk for my signed retrieval!
