    A mixed bag

We are young(ish) grandparents from the uk. We have enjoyed several Caribbean all inclusive holidays (with TUI), this was our fourth, and our first to Jamaica. Having scanned a lot of TA reviews we chose CTI, with so many repeat visitors being a big deciding factor. We score 8 ex 10 for holiday overall, so here are some plus and minus points for similar minded people looking to book. Staff - attention and service was great. We were well looked after throughout. Hotel, pool surrounds and our room were always well kept. Overall we felt the hotel was perhaps catering for a younger more active crowd, witnessed by the emphasis on water sports to the extent that the best part of the small sandy beach was given over to noisy boat traffic and the sea roped off in a similar way for those wanting to swim. Our room in block one had a great sea view, but the traffic noise from the road immediately behind block 1 (and block 2, and the.grill bar and pool side) was disappointing. The room was indeed a bit dated (other have mentioned this), and just the one mirror in the room was a pain. The small man-made private beach was unfortunately rapidly eroding before our eyes, so be aware; the hotel pictures of the beach are from a decade ago. I measured it at just 175x45 paces, and that was with the tide out! As others have mentioned there is a lack of shade around the two pools (and the beach). One visit to the piano bar was enough, the smell of musty air conditioning and lousy martinis put us off a second visit. We are not foodies but full marks for breakfast lunch and dinner buffet offerings - the three restaurants were also great. Special shout outs to Devon & Nackiera (beach bar), Fitz (water sports), Paulette, Radino and Sidonne (buffet). The transfer from the airport is two hours on a Friday (whatever the drivers says), so be prepared.

    Blissful Couples Tower Isle

Our first trip to Jamaica and to an all inclusive; Tower Isle did not let us down! The property and it's wide array of foliage and flora, vast dining choices, spectacular view and the PEOPLE!!! Transportation from the airport, check-in with the smiling ladies and escort with our bellman, Eworth were seamless. Eworth provided us superb information which made our entire stay more pleasurable. We chose a Deluxe King and the view of the sea, Tower Isle, beach, pool and property was outstanding! The terrace was ample; with chairs, table and rack to dry suits and such. Time well spent here; sunrises, morning coffee, afternoon cool down with cocktails. Highlights of our trip include fishing with Leroy on the Blue Fin, couples massage, long days at the beach and swim-up pool and every dining experience! Fishing with Leroy was awesome; 28 foot boat, 4 lines out, caught a sizeable Wahoo within minutes (pics to follow). Not to be missed. Couples massage with Samantha and Renee was top notch and the spa was peaceful. The guys and gals that served and entertained us at the swim up were some of the finest, fun people we have encountered while on vacation. Their warm smiles, welcoming vibes and positive energy made the day. While the entire staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating; we would be amiss not to give a shout out to these fine folks. Alex (Mr. Jamaica), Hakeem (Mr. Cool) and Devon at the pool...superior drinks, all kinds of music, and some great dance moves! Aundrae, Hoarst (J.J.) who we met at the main bar and Piano Bar. Hopelyn entertained with some pool sides games and trivia. Water Aerobics (sorry I didn't get his name);great music, energy and fun! Paulette, Sachin and Joel: patio restaurant. Lamon; Eight Rivers Restaurant. Look into the history of the resort and it's founder Abe Issa; what you will find out isn't widely known and is impressive. Tour the property and greenhouses. Jamaica is a beautiful country, with beautiful people!! We will return! Enjoy Everyone!

    Nice surprise!

Pleasantly surprised. Traveled in May for 7 days. Super clean, good food, good drinks, all of the help are so pleasant. The most surprising: The pool attendant was talking to us and there was a medical emergency across the way. Even though there were medical personnel taking care of the elderly woman, the pool attendant dropped everything and headed right over there to assist. I was impressed with his dedication, he even stayed beyond his shift. All in all it was a great vacation. The only drawback was the trip from the airport to the resort, it's a long ride, but worth it!

    Relaxing couples get away

The transfer was perfectly fine. Our driver was informative. Couples Tower Isle was I would give 4 out of 5 stars. It was every thing we were looking for with some added perks and some not so perky things. The grounds were well maintained. Our room view was absolutely perfect, peaceful, relaxing, ac worked perfectly, comfortable bed. Loved the am room service with coffee and danishes/fruit. No complaints. The only suggestion or what I would change in the future it was the far end building. The further away from everything. So I would request a room much closer. Beach was great. Lots of chairs and shade options. Loved the flag in sand for drinks to be delivered to you. Also loved they provided every chair with a lounging float you could use in pools or ocean. There were 3 floating disks that were anchored and able to use also. Lots to see when doing some self snorkeling. Pools were great. One had swim up bar which was lively. Had a great time there. If I could make one suggestion would be a larger swim up bar. Activities there were many throughout the day. Water sports we did was glass bottom boat and snorkeling which was breathtaking. They took us to a ship wreck. There were other things with water sports we did not do. Water bikes, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking. We also did not visit the private nude island. The activities they were listed a few places. Also there was not a lot of energetic people to get you involved throughout the day. The evening entertainment was great with a band, dance, fire acts, etc.. my personal favorite was the Jamaica party night with the steal drum band. This took place on the main stage where everything was mainly located. My only suggestion would be to maybe announce the starting activities. Food was good for the most part. Lots of variety. Our favorite restaurant was the Verandah. So good, had oxtail for my first time it was delicious. Close second was Bayside. The food was delicious, service on point. It was very still the night we went so it was a little warm and buggy. The Pool Grill was good with the patties, jerk chicken, and soups. Fruit and Veggie bar was different and everything we tried was good. 8 Rivers was nice atmosphere, best air condition, food was OK just not our personal favorite. The Patio/main buffet always had a variety that would feed everyone. There were some really good dishes served. The staff was very friendly. We had no issues with anyone. Some spent some time talking to us. Some we watch go above and beyond was Devon and Alex at the pool swim up bar. Amanda very new, but waited on us at the beach. She quickly picked up and did a great job. Our ride back to the airport was great with perfect ac on the bus, a great driver, and again informative. They work everything out for you. They'll let you know what time to have your bags ready and when to be in lobby. So there are never a lot of worries. Over all we had a great. Relaxing time. Just what we personally needed. I would go back to this resort without hesitation. Suggestions to them would be: have beach towels on beach level, add restroom to beach level. The beach is not handicap friendly if you would need those accommodations.
