Ocean Luxury.
Absolutely beautiful resort - felt the ocean everywhere we went; spotlessly clean, excellent good and drink choices (variety and deliciousness) the presentation of the food was artistic, rooms so comfortable and ALL the staff was so gracious and really happy and helpful. They over the top on making people feel comfortable, safe, and we can feel the luxury and beautiful of the ocean; so much glass and flowers and perfect plants everywhere. I love "Secrets,"

Not your typical Secrets experience
There are great parts to this resort and overall it was a great experience. The part that would prevent us from going back is the there are too many common areas shared with the Dreams side. We were looking for a more exclusive adults only experience, and it just isn’t that way here. Food and beverages were great, the staff was outstanding, rooms were good, but I just don’t need the kids crying and screaming when I am trying to get a cup of coffee or going for a walk in the evening. There are restaurants exclusive to the Secrets side, but there are several that both resorts can enjoy. It’s just not what we come to expect when we book a Secrets resort. For that part, they dropped the ball. Everything else about the resort was great.

Most incredible wedding week!
We have visited this resort twice now and it is truly one of the best all inclusive resorts out there. We had our destination wedding here May 9, 2025 and it was AMAZING. We originally met with Arely, the wedding manager back in 2023 who gave us a site visit tour and helped us book. Our assigned wedding coordinator was Patricia and she did such a phenomenal job ensuring everything went perfectly. We had a few meetings with her before and our vendors via zoom and they really understood our vision and executed it flawlessly. The reason we chose this resort is the stunning modern architecture, gorgeous wedding venues, incredible service, beautiful location, gorgeous pools, and impressive entertainment and nightlife. Secrets and Dreams Bahia Mita has something for everyone. It’s perfect for a wedding group because of the split adults only and family friendly side. There is SO much to do, you’ll never get bored. From the waterpark, Dj’s at the pool, spa, nightclub, shows, activities and the new on site zip line you don’t even need to leave. The food here is PHENOMENAL. We had a lot of boujee, foodie travelers in our group and they spoke very highly of the food (both at the restaurants and our wedding events). The dining options are endless, we were there for a week and even after two visits still haven’t tried all the restaurants! Our favorites are Boudeaux & Portofino. The service here is also wonderful. They truly go above and beyond! We were in a preferred club room and we had a butler, Jessica who was SO helpful and we could text her with anything we needed. She even helped steam my bridesmaids dresses and delivered items to/from the wedding office. Also in general the service around the resort is fantastic. Let’s talk about the spa. Our wedding package included 6 hydrotherapy sessions and we used them all! The spa here is one of the best I’ve ever been to, it is so luxurious and a great way to relax and recharge. We love the sauna, steam room, cold plunge and various jacuzzi pools and the little touches along the way like cold towels and iced tea. We didn’t get a message but some of our guests did and they loved it. Shout out to Lesley for helping us book! Our wedding vendors were also amazing, we used their in house vendors for DJ/AV (Encore- Chris Mujica, Gustavo) and decor (Mayte Romero) and external vendors for photo/video (Underground Studio - Jonathan & Bruno,) and hair/makeup (Graciela Salvidar- Yuri, Tania) and we were so happy with all of their work. To be honest, the beach here isn’t that great for swimming as it is quite rocky, you still can but it’s better for surfing. I’d recommend bringing water shoes if you want to swim in the ocean. My only frustration with this resort for wedding planning is they do have a pretty high outside vendor fee compared to other brands. Also, their in house vendors can be expensive, but they do incredible work. To future couples, it’s important to know that the planning doesn’t begin until about 4 months until the wedding, and most of it comes together about a month before but I assure you don’t let this worry you. Everything will come together seamlessly and this resort’s has it down to a science. TRUST THE PROCESS. We are SO happy we chose to have our wedding here and wouldn’t have changed a single thing. We were able to host three days of events and enjoy a vacation with our favorite people for a fraction of what it would have cost at a non-all inclusive venue or anywhere in the US. If you are considering a destination wedding DO IT!!!!!! You will not regret it!

There were some headaches but lots of relaxation.
For the most part, we had an overall great time at Secrets Bahia Mita. There were a few things that didn't go right for us and some that were truly amazing. Check-In: The Good- Great hospitality team as soon as you arrive on property. We had Preferred Club access and had our own check in area. Another great experience. We had a few questions at check-in that our check-in representative could not answer but did direct us where to get the answers. We were told we would have a butler and gave us their name. We did not meet the butler nor were given their contact information to reach them if needed. However, once we were done with the check-in process another representative approach us and began walking us out of the check-in area and gave us some information on the hotel. At this time we assumed that he would be our butler. He did speak rather fast paced English that some parts of the conversation were hard to understand. But we felt that the information we really needed to know (i.e. elevators location and information that not all elevators lead to all the floors or how to work the ac unit) was not shared. He walked us to our room and we realized that he was an agent with the "Unlimited Preferred Club" and was trying to market us to attend a promotional meeting for more discounts. When I asked if there was a property map, he instructed me to download the property app to find the map. FYI - the app does have a map that does not clearly identify how to access the restaurant or what floor it is on. Private Romantic Dinner - This started bad, really bad. When we arrived at our dinner spot, I quickly realized that it was not going to be a private romantic dinner at all and the setup and location did not look like the images they advertise on the website. While we were seating by ourselves, we where seated near the pathway for guest to use to access the beach and the water rinsing area. We were only a few feet from guests walking up and down, there were kids running and yelling, folks enjoying their holiday, washing their feet and rinsing their dog out while we were attempting to enjoy our starters and champagne. This is not my idea of a private or romantic dinner experience and we weren't in the area provided as advertised. We were anticipating bad thunderstorms and I inquired as to what the plan would be incase of bad weather. We were told that they could move us to an inside location. And here is what took place next, Sarahi, the manager for our evening and her team, swiftly started ensuring that the inside location would actually provide the "private" and "romantic" dinner we were expecting. We were extremely grateful to her and her team for responding quickly and making it a beautiful evening for my spouse and I. Our meal experience was elevated with Gabino and we were able to meet the chef. Hands down, this was an amazing way to end our holiday. Spa Services - GREAT Staff. Do yourself a favor and book yourself for a spa. Just give yourself enough time to complete the Hydrotherapy circuit and then to get ready for your spa treatment.

it’s an ideal resort for relaxing, but at night there isn’t much to do. the food and service are excellent everywhere, pools, restaurants.
