Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful stay. The grounds are beautiful and the recent refresh of the rooms and public areas was implemented very well. Everyone from the valet, front desk staff, to the housekeeping staff and other staff, they all were very happy to help and accommodate your requests. They get a 12 on a scale of 1-10. .
Move over marriott, Hyatt is it.
We had such a wonderful welcoming experience here. It was completely unexpected after another stay nearby! Our favorite part was watching sunset from the pool and watching turtle and whales show up and show off! The staff were absolutely lovely and above and beyond accommodating. The only downside was Japengo - the food was just not good considering all thats on the island.
Average resort, don’t expect much if you have stayed at other comparable resorts
A basic resort with primary focus on short term revenue generation vs building loyal customers. Room, pools and restaurants are good. If given the choice, don’t stay at the Napili tower. Resort grounds are good but not as good as Westin and Sheraton which are close by and are cost comparable. Very limited common sitting areas, almost no sofas or chairs for casual after dinner sit downs, unless in a restaurant.
I have been coming to this hotel since I was a little girl and now take my daughter. My family loves this hotel. They have penguins that you can see fed every morning, wonderful/clean rooms. Great pool. You are able to walk down to Whaler's Village, and I will admit when you compare Hyatt to the other hotels Hyatt is top notch. I even had a conversation with someone else at the hot tub who agreed with this. The pool alone for adults and children is great. Has access to the beach where we were able to see turtles swimming 15 feet from the shore (and next to people in the water). The staff is nice and accommodating. You honestly wouldn't even need a car if you just wanted to stay at the hotel and relax. You get reusable cups. Their Marilyn Monroe Spa is awesome as well. There's a shaved ice right at the pool (kids love it!). If you need a place to stay in Hawaii I recommend this place hands down. We were there Dec. 31st-Jan 6th. In the crazy COVID right now, I was very impressed with how they handled it and everyone wore masks when required.
Best on Kaanapali
Hyatt is the best hotel option on Kaanapali beach. Pricy but you will not have to leave the property while you are on Maui. Many resturants, spa, gym, pools and activities to keep you busy. Service is surperb.
