Best of the best
This is probably the best resort we’ve ever stayed at as a family. The staff were so welcoming, helpful, timely and organized. The facilities are dropdead gorgeous and I loved walking through the hotel with the nice breeze blowing through. We used extra points to get access to the club, which had a pretty good breakfast and dinner. Hands-down, though the best part was the pool and ocean proximity. What an amazing place. Magical. We checked out of the hotel a couple of days before the Lahaina fire. We wish for the best for all of the locals that we met. May you find comfort in your community as you adapt, adjust, rebuild and recover. Please remember to ground yourselves and practice your breathing exercises. They can help.

Stay during the wildfire
Our family was actually on property during the tragic events on 8/8. I’m still trying to process this whole event. I’ve personally been through a wildfire at my own home in 2008 so this was a trigger for me. Our room was a suite in the Lahaina tower, 2 balconies with a unobstructed view so my family literally watched the entire thing unfold with so many emotions. We’ve brought our family to Maui for 9 summers, only missing 2020. Maui is my happy place and I was especially grateful to be on Maui this year. We weren’t supposed to come but somehow we made it happen. First of all, I would like to thank each and every staff member for doing their best under the circumstances. It was a 2 day nightmare but absolutely nothing compared to what the people of Maui are going through. Could things have gone differently, of course. Are there things to learn from this disaster, of course?! But as person who has been through this before I understand with more compassion than the average person. We were without power well before the fire broke out. 48 hours with no power, no hot water, no cell service, no pool, limited food. Many on Kaanapali had no idea of the magnitude of the event. We waited for 1 1/2 hours for food but I’m thankful that we were fed by the hotel. We had children of workers that were evacuated help serve us food! Thank you to all the staff for doing your best under the circumstances, our family appreciates all of you and our hearts go out to all of you. A big thank you to the club staff on the first day did their best to continue to serve the guests. Second day the club was closed, understandably. With communication compromised, I feel like even the staff wasn’t fully informed. I could go on forever about what happened but what I do know is that everyone was doing their best under the circumstances. Thank you! * photos added are prior to the disaster out of respect*

Great stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui
We had an excellent stay at the Hyatt Regency; we loved the location directly at the see and had a great ocean view; hearing the sound of the waves when going to bed and waking up gave that extra 'paradise feeling'! Both our children loved the resort and the swimming pool. We also stayed at the Andaz in Maui but preferred our stay at the Hyatt! We left Maui just before the disaster happened and our hearts are with all the people of Maui!

HR Maui was Awesome!
We loved our time at the Hyatt Regency Maui! Fabulous property with gorgeous views! The pool with the ocean backdrop was beautiful and so serene. We hope the devastating wildfires did not impact Ka'anapali too much. Praying for Maui.

Nice resort
We stayed in the palace suite and upon arrival got directed to the wrong tower - that as the only issue we had the rest of our stay was beautiful. The resort was great for my Grandchildren and the staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again and I recommended it to our friends for their own family vacation.
