Worst checkin experience ever
This is undoubtedly the worst check in l've ever had. I came late to avoid the crowd. I arrived around 11:30pm. I still ended up waiting an hour to check in. They then gave me a room that had an extractor fan in it, probably because someone had peed on the carpet. When I tried ringing reception, i was passed around for 15 minutes until eventually I was told a bellboy was on the way with keys for a new room. He never arrived. Instead I had a maintenance worker come, take the fan away and tell me he didn't know anything about me getting a new room. When I tried calling reception again, I was being passed around so much and it was taking so long that I decided i better just walk back down to reception again, it would be faster. There I was greeted with disinterest. Incredibly, when they were giving my new set of room keys, they tried to pull a fast one and give me the same room again, thinking I wouldn’t notice! When I pointed this out to them, they pretended it was a mistake. So, eventually, I got to my new room at 2am, 2.5 hours after I first started the check in process. I was exhausted. The hotel itself is fine, the staff around the hotel are good. The rooms are fine. But the people at reception are not very good at their jobs.

Really nice hotel, one bad experience
The room was super clean! Definitely worth the money, hotel is nice itself, would be great for kids! We did the tournament of kings & it was one of the best shows here! One bad experience checking in, a staff member called ‘Mindy’ was super rude towards us! Other than that, all staff was lovely

Budget rooms on the strip
Stayed at Excalibur knowing it’s a budget hotel on the strip, but it was close to the things we wanted to do. Rooms were dated, but clean. A big open spot for a mini fridge or bar but just an empty space. A holder for toiletries in the shower, but no toiletries in them. None the less, the food court has decent grab and go options, the layout is decent between the front desk/elevators/ride share, etc. Elevators were fast, it’s an easy walk to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. It wasn’t a total fail, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Nice & affordable place to stay
Apart from the paper thin windows and the incredibly loud and unreliable air conditioning units in the rooms, this is a great place to stay. (This is our second time staying). One of the most affordable and conveniently located Hotel & Casinos on the strip in my opinion. Great if you want to escape the chaos of staying right in the middle of the strip, plus the casino seems more chilled out than others. Bonus, the monorail that takes you anywhere along the strip has a station conveniently located in MGM Grand (next door) so great if you don’t fancy walking.. although good luck finding the stations easily! Lastly, if you have a good sense of humour and fancy a laugh and some good drinks, head over to Dick’s Last Resort.

Luchie- front desk
I’m only given them 4 stars because of the way I was handled in light of my concerns on the update on the resort. And if it wasn’t for Luchie at the front desk it would have be zero stars. Because of Luchie and my children enjoyed themselves, I will not drag the resort. I’ll just say the reviews aren’t lying! Lol Luchie was very understanding and complimentary towards my family as we weren’t pleased with the cleanliness of our rooms upon arrival. She instantly contacted housekeeping and also offered a room change and even gave us complimentary buffet. The next day our AC stopped working and again she instantly called maintenance to service it. Luchie was personable, helpful and you can tell she’s enjoys her job.
