The good: -Very modern and stylish look and feel to the entire resort -Room was very clean and stylish -Good mix of pools to cater for varying tastes, from the very tranquil and pretty lagoon pool and cenotes through to the busy and fun beachside pool -Good food throughout, including a great Coco cafe with good coffee and an excellent choice of snacks - The rooftop area in the preferred club section is very nice. Great infinity pool, beautiful views and very nice lunch options - Service was friendly and efficient by all staff - The evening atmosphere is very enjoyable, some good bars serving good drinks, especially the dark horse -Nice layout throughout, easy to navigate and no need for any long walks to reach parts of the resort The not so good: - the insect bites! I have travelled to many places over many years and never suffered until this resort. All of the plants are sprayed around 7/8am each day and I think this displaces all the insects for a few hours - one of the pool decks is wooden, and I managed to get a few splinters in my feet - personally I found the drinks at the pool bars too sweet for my taste

When we arrived we were greeted by hotel staff then we got our bags. We went to the pool area and there was no seats available. Then we finally found a hut and the sun was hitting it directly we asked the staff to bring us an umbrella he said ok disappeared so we put a towel to cover the sun from hitting us directly. Staff came and removed he said we could not put it there without asking us. We then left our stuff to go grab pizza staff made us remove our belongings while everybody else left there’s. We felt targeted by the staff not sure why. This was our anniversary they told us they will make it special by doing something in our room which was never done. We asked them on check out and they said oh sorry. The room had cold water we had to shower with it as we were getting late for dinner. Then room service we order with turkey only food gets delivered with bacon n ham. I clearly specified no bacon n ham. The pool water was extremely cold unbearable there should be heated pool, no seating anywhere. The restaurant said there was 2 hours wait time every night so we could only try the Italian and Mexican. We purchased the preferred for easy access to restaurant and we could not even experience the Japanese. We are extremely disappointed with our experience at Moxché we have stayed in akumal and Maroma both visits were great but clearly moxsche. The beach is not a beach it’s a bay which smells like sewage with dirty water. This is not acceptable at all very misleading to guests and should be specified. The worse part of all this was the pick up we were sitting waiting for amstar the luggage guys told me first time hadn’t arrive. I asked him again if amstar arrived he said no the whole time driver was waiting and the driver was so upset he literally was leaving and would not take us. He then had to call corporate to ask if he can still takes us which was another nightmare. I am very disappointed and this trip made our anniversary a nightmare. I will definitely be contacting corporate.

Disappointed
Very hard to reach out to the service. No room clean, no upgrade benefits as the front desk promised, no birthday decoration. Didn’t provide any service we requested online. Spa lady in the front desk was rude and disrespectful. Food was nice and delicious, the only thing we enjoyed during our stay.

Excellent modern hotel with fantastic facilities particularly the pools and very friendly staff - the food was great and there was a lovely atmosphere at the hotel - it was a really enjoyable holiday and would love to return

10/10 Staff & Beautiful Resort
Secrets Moxche was everything we wanted it to be and more, we had so much fun here and this was in large part to the incredible staff. Fermin and Alanna from the entertainment team always knew how to keep the party going and were so personable and friendly to talk to, and the bartenders Jose and Andreas from the main activity pool swim up bar got to know us over our trip and would not only have our go to drinks waiting for us, but were also so much fun to spend time with at the bar. The restaurants and food here was top tier (the gnocchi at the Italian restaurant cannot be missed), and our rooms were always attended to with immaculate detail. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to unplug / relax and also have fun, we would love to come back!!
