The best staff and resort in Montego Bay! Highly recommend
We stayed at Secrets Preferred and everything about our stay was amazing. From the stunning property, to the quietness and luxury, the resort is simply breathtaking. Our room was also immaculate, well appointed and very clean, not to mention comfortable. All of the special little touches punctuated our stay with joy, everything from the welcome fruit platter to the beach bag to the incredibly COMFORTABLE bed oozed luxury. Even better, the staff from the top down were excellent , welcoming and professional. Major shout out to our butler Devon, who was pleasant, extremely attentive and helpful, even finding us a vase for some flowers my husband ordered for me! I can’t say enough about how well we were taken care of, including by “Mama” in the Preferred Club Lounge. She was funny, friendly and made me one of the best cocktails of our stay! Secrets felt like a home away from home, impeccable and warm. We will DEFINITELY be returning and highly recommend this resort to anyone for an Uber relaxing and fun in paradise!
It was so much fun we were there for 2 weeks from 29th December. Everyone was so welcoming and we really enjoyed ourselves ! Sky and Slim Jimmy from the entertainment team were absolutely amazing and deserve all good things. Also the bar staff from marlin bar are so great too! It was such a great holiday and we cannot wait To visit Jamaica again!
Jamaica - when a dream comes true.
The hotel is in a beautiful location and the facility itself is very well maintained. The staff is very polite and helpful. The entertainment team is active and I had some fun with them. Actually, it is worth booking this hotel ... even if there is still room for improvement in the service and food area. Price/performance did not always meet expectations. For a 5* hotel of this price range, the service and the offer was not always on top level. Some of the staff was overwhelmed or unable to help. The Wi-Fi is insufficient on the beach. I will probably come back in 2-3 years and hope that these weaknesses are fixed.
Supposedly a 5 star resort but we were disappointed in a vary of aspects about the resort. We were informed there were 2 resorts St James and Wild Orchid next to each other and both had there own restaurants and facilities but it turned our they were in the same gate and no separation at all every one sharing the restaurants, beaches, pools etc. Most rooms had ocean views, quite spacious and if you were lucky a cleaner to replenish your towels, lotions, etc. We were lucky if the cleaner left anything and fortunate if we got the floors mopped, plugs cleaned(off hairs) and balcony brushed. In the toilet bare wires hung out of the wall and the net curtains onto the balcony had holes. The swimming pools were very good with good bars to serve you all the drinks you required but I found the beach beds were very close to each other and had no cushions on the beach. No shortage of towels. The restaurants were all different but no buffet was available in the evenings only at the World Cafe at lunch times so it was Italian,French,Mexican( if you were lucky to find it open)Asian,Jamaican and a sea food one. Thank you to Camille who was head man at the Italian and French restaurants and to all of the staff who were involved as well. A perfect place to relax before and after dinner was The Piano Bar with views over looking Montego Bay and watch the sun set, thanks again to the staff there. On a Wednesday night by the fountain pancakes were available with plenty of chocolate Pastries to keep them company, something to look forward to. A small casino on site helped you pass a bit of time away and help you lose any money you carried with you. All in all I wouldn’t go back there and I’ve been to better 3 stars
would try again, would recommend, would stay longer
We decided to go to Secrets as it had the best visuals and the most positive reviews of the hotels available at the time. We're happy those reviews did not disappoint and added one more night to our original 2 night stay after our first day. Great place to relax, unplug and reset. Best interactions/experiences: - the roving jerk chicken pan man - the friendly water sports guys - Devon the butler - "Mama's" vibes and cocktails at the preferred lounge
