LOUD alarm with no warning
Bellagio review One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I first had problems communicating by phone. They switched my room type without notifying me. I only noticed it online the day we left to come here and spent almost an hour on the phone sorting it out. Which made an already very stressful day even more stressful. The representative had me on hold for fifteen minutes without telling me what was going on so I had to call again from my other phone just to make sure I was still connected on the phone with them. This doesn’t even begin to cover the two phone calls I made to first address the issue. There is no direct line to the hotel. The calls get routed to a calling center first, then transferred to the Bellagio. The first two times I called, I gave them my info and wasted my breath, only for them to tell me I’d have to be transferred. I never got transferred on the first two calls though - they either hung up on me or the line disconnected after they said they were going to transfer me. One representative was rude and insisted that some hotel-specific info I gave her wasn’t true - after I finally got a hold of the hotel, I confirmed with them that the info I had received from them originally was indeed correct. Luckily, the room was sorted by the time we arrived. But moving on from that, our first full day here, there was a bunch of very loud testing on the intercom system. It startled us and our dogs. I called the front desk twice to find out what was going on. The first guy had no idea, of course. The testing went on for an hour before it finally stopped. Then there was another period of hearing the alarm repeating over and over. Apparently they were testing the emergency alert system. I wouldn’t be pissed off if they had made an announcement before the testing to indicate that there would be testing going on, and the approximate duration. However they did no such thing. I’m very disappointed with our experience at the Bellagio.

It's Going Downhill
Visited each summer for the past five years plus one visit in the fall. As always, it's quite scenic and iconic, but the lived experience as a guest isn't cutting it anymore. Check in has you herded in a line for 45+ minutes. The MGM Rewards program has been reduced to so little value that you end up dropping $7,500 in the casino just to achieve the first status tier, and the sole benefit there is to get free parking. Concierge desk has been staffed with snarky, disinterested folks and I can't think of a single time in the past several visits when I've been able to count on them to actually accomplish something I request. Lastly, Bellagio is severely under-comping mid-range players like myself. Had a net loss of over $5k over 3 days, and was offered nothing at the rewards desk for my play. This doesn't happen at Caesars in my experience, and I'd recommend switching from MGM if you're considering where to go in 2025.

4th of July Bellagio weekend getaway
Talmaus Ewell was our marketing executive and from the start he treated me and my wife as close family members. Talmaus went well above and beyond to make our 4th of July weekend stay unforgettable and relatable at the same time. Talmaus customized our stay and accommodated all of our requests and needs. The whole MGM rewards staff at the Bellagio from the Transportaion services to room services and casino services were all top notched. Thank you Mr. Ewell along with Ron in VIP services and Christopher in transportation, thank you for your services and see you all in the near future.
