Trip to Dreams Las Mareas
We spent eight days at the Costa Rica location of dreams. It was absolutely wonderful! The resort was stunning, and the service was excellent. I expected it to be great, but the whole trip and everything about the resort. Really exceeded my expectations!

Awesome experience, we will go back
My wife and I took a short vacation to Costa Rica and stayed at Dreams Las Mareas at the beginning of December, 2023. Overall, our stay was an amazing experience. The entire Dreams staff was amazing. Everyone was extremely friendly. We flew into Liberia and hopped on our shuttle for the 1.5 hour drive to Dreams. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the bell staff who took care of our luggage and offered us a glass of champagne. Keva helped us with the check-in process and invited us to attend a sales presentation. We did agree to attend the presentation, though ended up deciding to not purchase a membership. We stayed in junior preferred suite. The beds and pillows were comfortable, though a little softer than we prefer. The restroom set-up was also different than what we are used to with the toilet behind a frosted glass door. However, those items did not negatively affect our stay. There is a wide variety of restaurants on site and we found the food to be very good. We dined at Seaside Grill, Portofino and scheduled a romantic dinner on the beach at sunset. The romantic dinner on the beach was our favorite. The restaurants do have various dress codes but nothing really over the top. The requirements at the dressiest restaurants were basically business casual type of attire. There are vendors on-site that you can use off-site excursions. We chose to take the Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs excursion thru Amstar and really enjoyed it. There are also numerous third party vendors on the beach offering services such as massages on the beach, fishing, sunset cruises, 4 wheeler excursions, etc. We did not partake in any of those services as we felt more comfortable only using the ones linked with Dreams. One thing to keep in mind. Dreams is in a rural area surrounded by forest, so you should expect visits from various jungle critters such as monkeys, lizards and racoons. You definitely need keep your balcony doors locked as some other guests reported the monkeys know how to open the sliding doors and will invite themselves into your room. My wife and I found watching their morning antics very entertaining. My wife and I generally do not repeat vacation spots, preferring to look for new adventures. However, Dreams Las Mareas is going to be the first addition to our vacations to repeat list. Overall, I highly recommend.

Great family trip
We had an amazing time traveling with our young family to this resort. Lots of options for activities to do and great choices for food. We spent most of our time by the kids pool which was perfectly located by the slide.

Best holiday ever
Really beautiful hotel, stunning tropical gardens, excursiions are well worth doing although perhaps not Nicaragua only because of the 3 hours at border control, a very long day that one, weather was a wonderful 33 degrees and only one day of rain. Food and drink is top class, we would definalely go again
