    Welcome Home!!!

The staff at The Suites (especially The Bellman, Trevaughn), the tour guides, the drivers, the Amstar agents, and the guests made it an enjoyable experience. There was a variety of food to eat at The Suites, such as a buffet restaurant, a steak restaurant, an Italian restaurant, and an Asian restaurant. The rooms were spacious with a seating area and balcony. The mini fridge was stocked with free beverages, and there was a complimentary large bottle of Jamaican Rum. I truly enjoyed my experience, and can’t wait to return!

    Service Is the Key

The resort is beautiful and the staff was first rate. They really go out of their way to meet all of your needs. We were greeted by the Bellman Trevaughn who gave exceptional service and was able to answer any questions that we had. If you go, you would be so fortunate to encounter him. Our room was beautiful and conveniently located with many options for dining along with the option to participate in activities and dine at the sister resort. Also enjoyed the Motown show and the illusionists.

    Great stay

I enjoyed my stay at this resort! My favorite restaurant was the Asian restaurant called the Tsuki. The food there was delicious. Dianne which I believe was a supervisor or manager was extremely attentive and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our meal there and I believe the Italian restaurant Sole Mio. Also Nakisha was an awesome waitress/server. We traveled with a toddler for the first time so little gestures really meant a lot and helped me and my husband when our toddler was restless or just being a kid. I would consider coming back to Iberostar Rose Suites but hopefully next time I can upgrade and visit the Joia the adult only side which has slightly better perks.

    Superb Hotel and Excellent Staff

We stayed at the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites for 10 nights in June 2025. Prior to our holiday we saw some YouTube videos of the hotel uploaded by previous guests. The hotel looked ok. We were very pleasantly surprised to see that these videos did not do the hotel justice at all. It was way brighter, cleaner and smarter looking once we were there than anything we had previously seen. A genuinely lovely looking hotel. We used most of the a la carte restaurants; Italian, Green, Japanese and Steakhouse. These were all better than expected. We had no problem getting in to any of them. We had about a 20 minute wait for one of them which was no problem. The Japanese sure was fun. The hotel is on a main road so there is not much to do immediately outside the hotel; there was nowhere to go walking outside. This meant we spent more evenings inside the hotel than we usually do when we are abroad. We found most of the evening entertainment to be really good. Shout out to the piano player in the lobby bar taking requests - he was very engaging and really good. The hotel was not full during the time we are there. When you use the buffet restaurant, the staff book you in and then another shows you to your seat. I can imagine this would take time during their busiest periods so that's something to be aware of. For us, at the time we went, it was fine. The pool area was excellent. People did reserve sun beds but, at the time we were there, no-one was doing it at ridiculous times of the morning. The view from the pool over the beach is lovely. The beach was fine. The water was the warmest I'd ever experienced. The only downside is that it is a beach where sea weed grows on the bottom. The water did not get that deep so it was not great to swim in as you never got deep enough to swim without touching the sea weed at the bottom. Excursions are quite expensive. We took private tours to Negril; specifically to the Seven Mile Beach and Rick's Cafe - both definitely worth a visit. On a second trip we went to the Blue Hole, Dunn's River Falls and Luminous Lagoon - all awesome. Couple of things to be aware of - vendors can be very pushy to the point of rudeness. I understand they want people to purchase things but I'd question the subtlety of their selling skills! Also, beware when paying for good at some places. Despite there being a clear price on things, some vendors will simply make up a higher price when you go to buy things - so be ready to occasionally stand your ground and get them to check their prices! We were told to take Jamaican dollars which we did. However, nearly all prices are in US dollars - that way some people try to stitch you up on the conversion rates - so it's a good idea to have some information about Sterling, Jamaican AND US dollar exchange rates when buying stuff. OK, back to the hotel. A minor thing that has happened to us at just about all hotels who have the electronic card/tag door entry system. Every so often, the things will just randomly stop working and you need to go the club/reception to get them reset. They will tell you not to hold your mobile phone near to the entry system but, in reality, it makes no difference. Yes, it is a pain in the backside - happened to us 3 times in 10 days but, hey, all you can do is get it reset - takes only a few minutes,. And finally to a couple of Iberostar staff who were particularly excellent. First off, our rep - the Jamaican Zen - Zenoki. He sent us daily messages about stuff happening that day at the hotel. He was engaging and always happy to see us. And, secondly, Rhodene Marks, one of the Iberostar club staff. She was the one we dealt with most of the time. She was always pleasant, happy to help and, more importantly, extremely efficient. So, a thank you to those staff in particular and to all those at the hotel who made this such a wonderful stay. In summary - just be aware that there is not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and the beach, whilst lovely and warm, is not the best for swimming in. Other than that, the Iberostar in Montego Bay is an excellent hotel and we found all staff were happy to help. I would highly recommend staying there.
