    Beautiful views, pretty hotel!

BEAUTIFUL resort! Very updated and beautiful rooms and building. It's a narrow hotel on a small strip of land, but really lovely all around. The top floor in the evening is amazing. Some reviews said it was too windy there, and the first day it was crazy windy, but it wasn't as bad as the week went on. FOOD - decent, but the buffet food daily was delicious! Lots of food options. ROOMS - all rooms have a fantastic view of the water, and the glass doors open all the way, but because of that, extra condensation builds in the room, and our room has mold. Within two minutes of being inside, I developed a headache, but after we told management, they quickly moved us to a new room. ACTIVITIES - They have a free catamaran to take out and swim, plus kayaks and a surf simulator with lessons, which was a BLAST. Preferred Club- Not worth it. The rooftop pool was dirty, oily, with hairs and little pieces of garbage in it. It's a beautiful view, but not worth the extra money. Hydrotherapy- It was nice but I wouldn't spend money on it.

    Preferred Club a Must!

My husband and I stayed at Dreams Vista the first week of June. Check in and check out was very easy at the preferred club. With the preferred club upgrade, we highly enjoyed breakfasts and a lunch at the Blue Water Grill. Bernardo, and his staff, gave impeccable service!! We also found Saul, the bartender at the Preferred Club always be friendly and make wonderful drinks. We enjoyed a wonderful couples massage with Ana and Gladys. We were disappointed that the hydrotherapy was closed for maintenance during our stay, as that was a benefit of the massage and Preferred Club. The beach at Vista is small, so we booked an excursion with Amstar to Isla Mujeres. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the catamaran picks up at the Vista dock. We went snorkeling - the guide was in the water with us, not only ensuring our safety, but pointing out various fish, water turtles, coral reefs and a stingray. We then spent a few hours on the island, enjoying an incredibly beautiful beach. Our excursion was with Cancun Adventures, boat 9. I can’t imagine another crew that could do better or be more fun! Eduardo, from Amstar, is incredible. He helped us find the best price for what we wanted to do. He came to the dock the morning of our excursion to make sure everything went smoothly. Eduardo also booked our transfer to the airport. He always remembered us and confirmed our transfer the day before. We had a great vacation!

A stay that offered relaxation for us adults, and some great memories with a dash of independence for our kids!

My wife and I surprised our kids (10 & 7) with this trip to Dreams Vista Cancun, along with another family of four who had their own kids (10 & 6). The great thing about the shape of the property was that it's long but narrow layout made it possible for us adults to feel comfortable to allow the four kids to travel and play together on their own just about anywhere as long as they stayed out of the ocean. Any time we needed to find them, they were always only a minute or two walk away. This was probably one of the first times our kids felt that added bit of independence while on holiday, and we were quite comfortable to give that to them. The weather was generally great, though it did get pretty windy at times. If you prefer to hang out by the poolside all day, you might get disappointed in the mid-afternoon when the sun starts to hide behind the hotel itself. The food was pretty decent, no complaints there. Lots of selection at the buffet, and most of the a-la-carte restaurants were pretty good too. All restaurants were first come first serve, so the only issue we had was the duration of the lineup when the steakhouse on the top floor opened. It was at least a half an hour, but felt closer to an hour because there was no AC nor any airflow in the waiting area. But, I will add that the food in the steakhouse was probably the best on the resort for flavors and experience - what a view from up there! The last thing I'll mention is about the entertainment. We met a lot of wonderful people on our trip, and several of them went above and beyond. I find the best experiences I have on trips like these are to get to know the staff, especially those that are clearly enjoying their jobs! Special shout out to Erick, Bryan, Henry, Christa, Adrian, David, Rubi, Isela, and Irene! A few times when someone asked "Is there anything else I could possibly do to make your stay better?" we would reply half-jokingly something that wasn't too outlandish but was an honest answer to the question and we were pleasantly surprised to see that they would sometimes be able to deliver! Best example of this was: the kids have access to a bodyboarding / surfing pool which offers everybody a lot of great fun... except it's scheduled for 1 hour a day. We politely requested if it was possible to extend the time for an extra hour, and not only did they accommodate this but they also offered our group of four kids a special 1 hour private lessons (Thanks Bryan!) and this really helped make their trip a memorable one.

    Slightly above average resort.

am a UVC impressions member and stayed here with my family of 4 for 5 nights 6 days in June. The resorts grounds are beautiful and the hospitality from the hotel staff was great. Pros: 1. Food. Very tasty, meat well seasoned. 2. Room service: room service had a lot of great options 3. Pool: pool very large and spacious, for the most part numerous beach chairs available 4. Views: you can get a beautiful view from almost any location of the resort. 5. Housekeeping: every request I made housekeeping granted it. They provided amazing service and helped my kids have an amazing trip Cons: 1. Very unimpressed with UVC. They did not go above and beyond to meet our needs. I’m paying an absurd amount of money for their services and they did not do anything special to make my trip easier. Every other word was “you have to to concierge and book” 2. Booking the Bali beds and the roof top restaurants was more difficult than it should be. UVC members are supposed to get 2 days free for the Bali beds. When I went to the pool concierge Benjamin tried to charge me 50$ for the Bali bed. After I told him I was an impression UVC member he tried to renegotiate the price down to 44$. I told him I would go back and book with the UVC, he then told me “Nevermind, it’s free”. He was trying to scam me. 3. Beach: beach is filled with stinky seaweed
