Not as bad as reviews say
I was scared to go to this resort after the bad reviews but we had no choice as we did the deal of fortune from cheap carribean. I see now that they put you in the resort that needs guests. Our room turned out good but we decided to upgrade to the Sun Club after reading the reviews. We were happy with the room. The beach was nice and so were the pools and the drinks were good with a friendly staff. We did the timeshare spiel at a resort and got a free excursion which was awesome and a nice massage for a small amount which was nice. They were very covid conscious and i felt safe from that. Now for the Cons: Food is not really too good. The buffet is horrible even for breakfast. The Mediterraen place was good but how many times can you eat there from the same menu. There is no nightlife at all. I was hoping for some possible shows at night like some resorts. They had a fire show one night which was ok and some other little things but overall the hotel is dead from 7 on. Overall we made the best of it and had fun but I would not return. I would spend some extra money and go to a better place. The hotel they took us to for the timeshare was very nice and it seemed like it had a lot going on,
Decent place to stay. The location was good, the beach and reef was great for snorkeling. The food was a little disappointing but the bar was decent and offered a wide variety. Overall it was a good place to stay.
Nice beach but that's about it.
Had no hot water in shouwer during stay. Had a arge water leak from ceiling. Were unable to sleep. Drunk people were creating noise late into the night. Front desk not answering calls. Hotel security did not address this issue.
We arrived at this resort and our first room they had us in had ants all in the room and on our beds. We then asked to move rooms and they put us in a room that had water all over the floors. They told us someone would come and clean the water that was all over the floor. I got up to go answer the door for my sister who was knocking a fell hard on my knee. I busted a blood vessel in my hand and my knee is bruised up and in alot of pain. We called the front desk and then sent someone to come and wipe up the water. I asked to speak to a manager and they kept saying he was in a meeting. I asked them to have him contact me. They then sent a lifeguard to come check on me. Why they did that I have no idea. The day we were leaving I went back to front desk asking for manager and he still wasnt there and still till today he hasnt reached out to me. I wrote him a letter and left my phone number. I also asked concierge for a copy of my accident report and they refused to give it to me. They said they would email it to me and I still havent received that. this was the worst experience ever! Its the idea that they didnt care enough to make sure I was ok but they will when they get served with legal papers and hospital bill.
Me and my husband were never bored at this resort! We had a great time! The resort had FUN activities planned throughout the day for families, adults & kids. They even had a back up just in case it rained for indoor activities. My favorite shows were the light shows! My room bathroom wasn’t the cleanest but we survived. Pools were also not the cleanest but it makes sense bc people are coming from the sand and all pools are out doors so obviously they can’t keep it supper clean. Drinks are not fresh fruit, they are all artificial flavoring. Not the best drinks for a non alcoholic person. Breakfast & lunch options were very minimal. Mainly only 1 buffet open. Staff is extremely nice, very friendly, and helpful. If there was an issue they made sure to fix it right away. Seafood is under cooked or cold. Very few vegetarian options. We ate French toast, eggs, and pizza everyday. Non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks were being mixed with the same spoon. Did not feel comfortable having those drinks bc I am pregnant and I am someone that doesn’t drink alcohol. Food was my biggest downside.
