Marriott Is Fine, CBD Is Not

The hotel itself is fine but the location in the Central Business District is not a spot that I would ever choose to stay in again. From 40 flights up, we could hear the constant revving of engines well into the night. The lobby is teeming with people and lines for check-in and the two elevator banks are busy all day long. There is no security here either, anyone can access the hotel as no one is checking for key cards. New Orleans is full of charm, just not in this part of town. Next time we’ll head to the Warehouse District instead.

    Girls trip

This was the last leg of our girls trip. Hotel was convenient to French Quarter, shopping, casino and streetcars. Hotel was large and many places to eat around. Room was comfortable, we had a great view of water from 24th floor. Check in was smooth, people were friendly. Great burger place right outside front door.

Great Stay in a Great Area

My family, friends, and myself stayed at the New Orleans Marriott for a long weekend in April 2021 and had a great experience with this hotel. The staff was super helpful to anything we asked or needed. The rooms were nice and clean. They weren't cleaning the rooms everyday due to covid guidelines but the still brought us extra towels at our request. The hotel has a nice little pantry market that we would use late at night to get a snack or a few drinks to take to the room. Ms. Lisa at the pantry market needs a raise because she was the sweetest, most professional worker there and you could tell she loved her job and never once compained about her 12+ hour shifts. We would see her in the morning and in the late evening always with a smile on her face! Back to the hotel...its in a great location. We were able to pretty much walk everywhere in the french quarter. Its not far from bourbon street. We really enjoyed our stay there and will stay again when we go back!

    Never Again!

Customer service sucked as soon as we walked into the hotel. They have no consideration of peoples time when trying to check-in at 12 - 1 am in the morning. The room was carpeted which I usually stay away from. When I was physically in the room and the air vent was on, my allergies reacted in a crazy way- itchy eyes, stuffy nose, and itchy ears. My sister had a bad cough when the air was on as well. We tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. We slept with the air off for the last two nights to calm the cough and allergies. There was also a roach in the refrigerator. An engineer did come up to take care of the roach with a disinfectant spray and we were offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience. The hotel is in a good spot and near everything and within walking distance, but I’d never stay here again. Customer service and cleanliness is everything to me and I did not receive that during this stay. The Marriott chain is not up to the standard that it used to be.

Filthy - No not stay here

We are currently staying this hotel and the rooms are filthy with dust and some sort of smut. The shower head is falling out the wall and the closet rack is falling off the wall. Not to mention when you sit on the bed or the chair a plum of dust pops up. It was so bad that I had and asthma attack in the middle of the night from the dust. This hotel has gone down and I would not recommend anyone staying here. The only saving grace was the Manager Donald. He listened to our concerns, empathize with us and is trying to make the situation better. We will see what happens.
