    Outdated rooms

    Do not expect modern, upscale experience. Will not be recommending this property to friends or family. Floors unlevel in places and cable service statically. Check in host told us she upgraded our room and we were very thankful. I would have loved to see what we had, compared to what we got. Disappointed.

    Poor Pool

    The pics of the pools look great, yet they are only allowing the use of the smallest pool. Paid for a $37 32oz drink pool side and they didn’t have any straws for me to drink with. AC in the room was great, as a Stay Well room of 12-270 there was no view however we had air cleaners in the room.

    Sewage smell

    Sewage smell, assigned wrong room, had to go back down and wait in a long line again, not okay when traveling With small children. We were assigned 2 queens when we reserved for a king and we paid for early check in at 11am And out wrong room wasn’t ready until 1pm

    NOT A GOOD PLACE

    For anyone who doesn't read if the review is long. NEVER stay at Excalibur. Play there, never stay there. Now let me tell you of the experience Linda and me had there. We suffered through 3 room changes within the first 2 hours we were there. There is absolutely no excuse for what happened to us at the piece of crap place called EXCALIBUR. Room #1. I went in the bathroom because we requested a handicapped room. When I check the shower there was dirt of some sort on the shower floor. The wand shower apparatus, that holds the shower to the wall was not attached at the base. After Linda saw it she got on the phone (which put her on hold for to long of a wait) when the person answered she told the woman named Carol of the situation. She said she would send someone up. While Linda was speaking to Carol the wand fell out of the holder and hit the floor of the walk-in shower. The person showed up and looked around and said he would send someone up to fix it. So we left for the games and something to eat. After that we returned to the room, only to find the shower NOT fixed. Linda call again and ask for another room. She was told there were no other handicapped rooms. Meanwhile I needed a shower and took one. While in the shower the wand fell again. Luckily for me it didn't hit my foot. The bellman come to move us. Room #2. All seemed good at first glance so the bellman left. By the way they found another handicapped room. On top of everything else Linda was lied to. Linda starts unpacking again and when she opened the draw to put her clothes in it she found dirt in the draw, candy even. Now she started looking around and found actual garbage on the floor. Another call was made. This time the Housekeeping Manager came up and took pictures. As for me I found that NO BIG DEAL. Another bellman was sent. Room #3 This time we were taken through the casino. (all the way through it) We were now taken to the 9th floor. I was the first one in the room. As I looked in I saw, get this now, one of THE BEDS WASN'T MADE. Linda went from the doorway to the bathroom where she found a dirty un- flushed toilet. Towels on the floor. And a used soap on a dirty soap dish. Linda was in tears. The bellman called down and they wanted to talk with Linda who could hardly speak. She said, "no I'm not moving again." Send people up here to clean this room up. Well it was cleaned as we watched. The 2 women started speak Spanish and I said “this is our room speak ENGLISH.” I want you all to know we were treated like crap. A guy named Ben, who was supposedly a manager could have cared less. He even had the nerve to say, when I told him you get better treatment at a Motel 6, "you pay more at a Motel 6.” We have never been treated so badly at any motel we have ever stayed it as we were at this dirt filled DUMP. We were there from Tues. till Sat.. We had a flight out departing at 8:00 Vegas time so we had to be there early, of course. Linda had called the bellman's desk the night before and was told they weren't busy that hour of the morning and to call in the morning. She did. After being on hold for a very long time she told me she was going down stairs. She was told the ONE bellman on duty was at lunch and would be up at 5AM. He never showed up. We gathered up our things and went out to get the car. Only a person who I hated would I ever say to stay there. It was the worst experience we ever had at a motel. My hatred for that dirty DUMP grows each time I think about it. I forgot to mention the table cloth and chicken wings and bones in the elevator when we left. I’m not done with the dump either.

    And older property that has no evidence that it was refurbished in 2015

    The rooms look every single 31 years old. The Golden fixtures are worn and falling apart, the grout is black, brown and cracked. The tub has runs around it, and the carpet has seen much better days. The fun dungeon is more just a for real dungeon newer games mixed with broken ones. Many restaurants are closed, and indeed that are are packed. Half the pools were closed in the weeks days so the ones open were so Packed the water was pretty gross. The attraction of the castle themed, tournament of kind and fun dungeon were just not with it. Good for a day trip but not worth a stay. The workers are stretched thin and pretty stressed so don’t expect any kindness when interacting with them. I don’t hold it haunt then and show them kindness as I can see others getting pretty rude with them, but it certainly does not make me want to stay there again.
