Exceeded my expectations
We just wrapped up an excellent stay here at Grand Floridian. I hadn’t stayed at a park hotel since the Contemporary in the 1980s. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this most recent stay. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. We were upgraded to a concierge level suite and the room was just perfect. Ice cold A/C and a huge bathroom and tub. The area in the main building was quiet so there were no disruptions. The staff was very friendly with some even greeting me by name on the last day. They have a very nice fitness center and walking trails around the property. You also can’t beat monorail access for convenience. Finally we ate breakfast at the main cafe and I was pleasantly surprised here too. The lobster eggs Benedict and chicken and waffles were delicious. I would stay here again.

Rude Bell Captain
This was my family’s second time staying at the Grand Floridian. It was just as beautiful as always, the rooms were clean, but I had a very rude encounter that did not make me feel welcome and started our trip in a negative light. We were due to check in Thursday (4/8) and and arrived early around 7:15 am to pick up our Magicbands, before heading to the parks. We walked up to the front desk and when the guests in front of us left, we moved up. The Bell captain was standing there but did not acknowledge our presence at all. She just kept looking down at a piece of paper and this went on for several minutes with us awkwardly standing there in silence. When she finally looked up, she still didn’t speak! She actually just glared at me. I’ve never experienced anything like it. After awhile I BROKE THE SILENCE and said, “Hello ma’am, we were needing to pick up our magicbands and weren’t sure where to go”. She then pointed us in a different direction. I have honestly never been greeted in such a rude manner at any resort, much less Disney. It was also disappointing because 2 of my excited, young children were standing beside me. I feel that is a poor way to treat someone at anytime, but especially when that person is paying thousands to be a guest at the resort you represent. I realize this is not the attitude of most Disney employees, as most are wonderful and part of the reason we continue to choose Disney for a family vacation. However, I do feel this type of encounter is completely unacceptable and should be addressed. It’s a shame to have someone with a nasty attitude at the front desk, representing such a nice place.

Absolutely beautiful!
It was like a dream to stay at this Disney property. Everything about our stay was perfect. A front desk clerk named Jordan, well, he helped to make our stay magical. Everything about this stay and this place is as if you've been sprinkled with pixie dust. And riding the private little boat to the Magic Kingdom was amazing. This was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed loved it loved it loved it!

Allergy concern
Think twice about the Floridian. With the covid restrictions your food options are 2 restaurants and you will have to book weeks in advance if you want a table. The only option is inroom dinning My daughter has serious food allergies and the disney resorts have good measures about it But the last day of our stay my daughter had an allergy reaction, thank God i had all her medicine for a crisis like this with me. It was just one time out of the 5 days at the hotel, but you cant afford to take this risk if you have allergies you know that you have to be patient and explain every single time all thw allergies to the chef and thats exactly what i did every single time I spoke later at the front desk for ant feedback about it and they just apologize quthout taking any note of what happened so clearly this can happen again. Also the last day i called many times to get my luggage from my room and sent them to the kingdome lodge i was going And nobody answered, again the covid restrictions and the lack of staff is always the answer these days considering i payed more than 620 usd per night for a standard room (the basic one) you would expect more but again my complain is by the allergy issue we had.

Wonderful Stay
We just returned from a short 4 night stay at the Grand Floridian. It was our first trip since COVID. We traveled with our son, daughter in law and our 3 grandchildren. We were in 2 rooms in the Sugar Loaf building. The rooms were clean and spacious. They were close to the quick service restaurant, Gasparillas and the Main Building. We also had dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe one evening and it was outstanding. It was nice being able to eat on property after a day at the pool. I had rented a cabana and we loved it! Barry was awesome taking care of all our needs throughout the day. My grandchildren made Mickey Ears on Sunday and enjoyed it. They loved watching the water pageant too. All in all it was a nice trip spent with family. We did a VIP tour one day and it wiped me out, but the children enjoyed it and they were able to ride everything they wanted to. Hats off to the cast and managers at the Grand for making our trip so special!
