Beautiful hotel and resort
The hotel and resort were even better than the website described it. The entire grounds were clean and well maintained. All of the amenities were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The parking lot was
Beautiful property on the beach
1st time to Maui. Came for husband's business, but it was mostly R&R time. Beautiful resort. Spent time at the pools & beach. Had fun body surfing in the waves and saw lots of sea turtles within feet of the beach. Tip: Wear water shoes. Sea urchins and rocks on shallow bottom with waves tossing you around. Participated in some of the free activities.....especially loved the ukelele lessons, coconut weaving, and lei making. Need to book those as soon as available. Slots fill up fast. Took 5 minute Uber rides to Lahaina for shopping, whale watching, Maui Chocolate Tour and wonderful restaurants. Walked to Whaler's Village a couple of times. At the time we went, all the rent cars were booked up. But there was plenty to do on the resort and nearby.
Excellent stay during COVID
This Hyatt property was an excellent choice for us during the pandemic. They have their procedures dialed in and take care of every detail to make you safe. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation
The very best of Hyatt......
We returned for our sixth straight year very to this gorgeous property. Our daughter has been here every year of her life. We are Globalists (top tier) with Hyatt, and there is no better hotel in the Hyatt portfolio. We have traveled extensively to each of the Hawaiian islands, and we have not found another hotel we enjoy as much. The location and the grounds cannot be topped. The recent renovation was top notch. We were happy to see many of our old friends from the Hyatt staff, and make new ones. We did not have a single negative experience with any employee in our eleven nights. It simply does not get any better than Pohaku at the pool. We have known him for many years, and appreciate his friendship and his service. Isaiah (also at the pool) was a major standout. His enthusiasm and helpfulness cannot be matched. We certainly believe this guy has a future with Hyatt. Jim at the front desk was incredibly helpful throughout our trip. Also the breakfast bartender at Umalu (my wife always ordered breakfast there and couldn't remember his name) was yet another standout. Every employee we encountered did their job well, but those I mentioned above were the stars of the show. We did not meet GM Dave MacLean on this trip, but he is running a tight ship. We have already booked our trip for next year, and cannot wait to return. A big Mahalo from our family.
Hyatt Regency Maui
Beautifully renovated rooms in the Napili tower were spacious and smartly designed with luggage storage space under the foot of the bed, motion sensing lights under beds and under vanity, plenty of mirror and counter space for a mom with two teen girls. Lovely balcony with gorgeous view. All staff were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, while giving guests space. Entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Wish that the hours of operation of coffee bar and shops were extended.
