Want a Fantastic vacation in Waikiki?
What a fantastic hotel! Our room had a wonderful view of Diamond head and the beds were great! Pool overlooks the beach, the bars serves great Mai tai's, and the deck turns into a chill zone with amazing local DJs at night. The Longboard club was worth $ with amazing food, endless local beer and wine, and a cappuccino maker. Steps from Waikiki Beach where we surfed everyday with the kids. Amazing stay!
My party of two couples stayed here for five nights, which included the Fourth of July weekend. I start by saying that we experienced none of the negative issues discussed in some of the other reviews. The person who helped us with check in was very friendly and efficient. Our room had a great view of Diamond Head. I recommend paying for the Longboard Club. The staff there was attentive, and the breakfast and happy hour are worth the extra money. Our favorite part of the hotel was the Swell Pool deck. We had reserved seating around one of the fire pits on Thursday night and a cabana on both Friday and Saturday. The deck is beautiful and the infinity pool is large by Waikiki standards. I would like to give special recognition to our server, Jenny, who was super fun and always made sure we had everything we needed from the bar and kitchen. For those of you who care, there were several families with children enjoying the pool. I found the kids to be polite and well-behaved, so this was not an issue for me. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.
If you like Waikiki
Waikiki is not for those seeking a peaceful getaway removed from the crowds. That said, the Alohilani provides an oasis of calm with its modern, airy decor. Located across the street from the beach, it’s a 1 minute walk to be in the middle of it all, as well as minutes from all the shopping and food you might want. We stayed in the premier ocean front suite at the top 17th floor of the beachside tower and our space was quiet, with a huge bathroom, balcony, and living room with wet bar. We enjoyed sitting outside with the sounds of the ocean, although street sounds mix in from 7A-10P. Didn’t prevent us from getting sleep in the very comfortable bed. Highly recommend the Longboard Club, as we ate breakfast daily and enjoyed cocktails and snacks in the late afternoon. Great selection of wines with quality food prepared daily. The pool area is right next to Swell outdoor restaurant so it does get noisy after 11A. Pool service is friendly. Momosan is in the Bldg and delicious. Only nit is the white furniture in our suite shows everything despite their efforts to remove spots. Chaise lounges on the suite balcony would have given us a reason to stay in our room all day!
Chillin’ with family and friends.
My wife and I just really had a great time during our stay here. We chose it based on my brother-in-law’s recommendation, the infinity pool, and planned a cabana during our stay when they had a DJ (Tuesday??) . Andrew, our server, was very nice as well. Check-in was fairly smooth considering regulations at the time of visit. Room was nice and clean. Great to have a bidet in the restroom as well. We hope to stay there again there in future visits and hope the pool will be warmer…a bit chilly during our visit. Don’t know if it was heated or not but didn’t help that it was a bit chilly then for Hawaii.
Beautiful, amazing resort!
An amazing resort! It’s chic Hawaiian. The interiors stay true to Hawaii with an updated twist. It is warm and inviting and so is the staff. From Peter at the valet, to the front desk… we felt welcomed. They lent us an umbrella for the day and beach towels were always available and easy to return. It’s the small things that matter and make feel one at home! And our view of Diamond Head and the beach from our room was unforgettable. Bennett at Swell was the best bartender we had during our 2 week stay! He was so friendly with a ‘can do’ attitude. Ansom was our waiter in the Longboard club and made our happy hour extra special by just being the waiter that went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We loved the Longboard club and the evening drinks and dinner at Swell. It’s a wonderful place to stay! Great staff, Great hotel, Awesome vacation!
