    Rooms need renovated.

The food is very good, it's a great dive destination. But the rooms we stayed at in Secrets needed renovated badly. Lots of maintenance issues. And the tier system of preferred or not makes getting breakfast and lunch very limited alot. Roof leaked, no hot water, not 1 fridge out of 3 rooms worked. Staff is holding this place together. They are amazing.

Room issues and a lack of compensation.

We were looking so forward to coming to this hotel. We were at first directed to a room that was under a stairwell. It was fine at first until the loud music started at 11 PM and continued, but then we discovered that there was no cold water. They suggested that we just shower with hot water, but we could not even flush the toilet so they moved us to another room at the back of the facility. We were informed the next day that we would be relocated to another room yet again this room was actually quite nice, but we received no compensation for the inconvenience at all . Also, we had paid for a waterfront room. Then, upon checking out, we saw that another guest had fallen on the stairs and they made no effort to help that person at all. They just stood there and gawked at them. . I made a request through Chase travel to see if I could get any type of refund and they contacted the hotel and it was denied.. I’m not used to this level of service at a hotel. It was really sad. I would never recommend anyone to go there. My husband and I were looking forward to a nice weekend getaway but it was exhausting and I feel so bad that I had to leave this review .

    Secrets Aura Cozumel

Great location on the beach. Friendly staff. Went in off season so some of restaurants not open. We loved the Bordeaux restaurant. The waiters, Yun, Alejandro Gain and Hostess, Diana were very sweet and worked hard. Recommend they keep pool cleaner near the Bordeaux. The others seem very clean, but this one has a lot of stuff floating in it. Great Honeymoon though.

Disappointing Stay at Secrets Cozumel. Don't Recommend.

The overall experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The hotel is outdated and has the old appearance. The food quality is average. The service is slow and non-responsive at times. The gave us the wrong room and it took 2 days to get resolved. They limit you on snack and drinks you can have even though it is an all inclusive place. We will not visit this place again and recommend you try another location. They are associated with Dreams and we tried both location with the same results.

    these people are my Familia

Just returned from paradise and we were a little apprehensive to book at all due to scathing reviews we read, found ourselves pleasantly surprised by how truly beautiful the resort was, and how amazing views of the ocean were. The scenery could not have been more gorgeous with the sun, crystal clear water perfect for snorkeling, and how nice our room was! we did have some problems with check in, our swim out ocean view room had Maintenace issue (staff did not elaborate) so was not available-so they upgraded us to preferred ocean front balcony right next to market cafe, I was disappointed at first to lose the swim out I was so looking forward to, so they promised me if I wanted, they could move me the next day after the issue was resolved in my original room-once I saw the balcony view of the ocean there was no giving that up! we have stayed in more upscale and expensive resorts then this but by far have never had such a view as this-it was spectacular. The food options were fine, and some dishes wowed while others were average (same anywhere). the pools were all great, the occupancy when we went most have been lower because I never waited for anything -pool or beach side lounges always ready, restaurants I was seated immediately, and drinks flowed freely without delay. There were flaws sure, here and there, if you looked hard enough, but how can you be in paradise and complain about minor details, so I won't even mention them. BY FAR, the absolute best part of our experience though was the staff, these people are genuinely committed to your comfort in every way, they are warm, sincere, caring, and honest (lost my purse after a few too many cocktails and it was returned by Mr. Ramos to the lobby with all the cash still in it). shout out to some amazing secrets Familia Ricko-lobby bar (wish he could make me another Ricko Sauve) Gaspar-market Cafe Deigo-swim up bar Armando-swim up bar Rocko Vallet who brought our luggage to our room like we were guests in his home Sein-concierge who, even when we turned him down for timeshare presentation still greeted us with warmth every day, we saw him Angel-lobby bar the group of three that did an amazing fire show on the beach which thrilled us the live band in the courtyard of coco cafe in the evening -they sang sweet Caroline better then at Fenway Park SO GOOD SO GOOD Gabrille-Oceana breakfast the group that performed for the Mayan experience dinner -best $ ever spent Vincente -swim up bar, was depressed when he had a day off, he was that great Rene -market cafe-thanks for the "Happy Coffee" with baileys Leonello-preferred swim up bar who tried to do juggling tricks with ice cubes -made us laugh was very entertaining (or it could have been the mojitos-not sure lol) Jenny -hostess @ Bordeaux breakfast that everyday pulled my chair out for me, but I mistakenly sat myself lol -sorry Jenny not used to such pampering MY FAVE Richardo-Bordeaux for breakfast was the sweetest young man that served us like we were royalty, wanted to know exactly how I wanted my mimosa (what % champagne to juice ratio and if I wanted fruit in it), couldn't be more pleased with his warm braces smile, caring attitude, and exuded positive energy. I cannot stress enough your vacation is what you make of it! This resort was amazing; I would 100% return and recommend
