This is the second year in a row that we came to this resort honestly our Butler Rafael is the main reason that we booked again. He is wonderful and super attentive and great at his job. The beach is beautiful and the pool with the waterslides is really fun and has music so it’s definitely lively and the lazy river is a great addition when you just want to relax The Mexican and Italian restaurant are a must try but the buffet for dinner was something that can be skipped for sure The preferred pool is beautiful And they even have fun activities throughout the day by the pools and the beach.

10/10!!
We did 6 days at Dreams Onyx for our honeymoon! We did a preferred level swim out room - we loved that! The cleanliness of the hotel was amazing, staff were all so helpful and kind!! We had a butler his name was Alvaro Luis - he was literally so great!! He helped with so much and was so kind, checked on us the perfect amount and truly cared about us! If you get a butler ask for him!! You will not be disappointed!!

Great week
Stayed here in May 2024. We opted for a preferred club swim up room. Our room was off the preferred club family pool and right across from the bar. Aside from the construction next door, which you really didn’t even notice (or at least we were able to zone it out) it was a super great location and we felt we mostly had the pool (and bar) to ourselves. The bartender (Antonio, I think) was fantastic. If we weren’t hanging out at our room, we spent some time at the main and adults only pools. Never had an issue finding chairs, drink service was always super quick and the servers were super nice. We really enjoyed the lazy river at the water park, but didn’t try to the slides. We brought our own hammock floats and felt they were better than the tubes the resort provides. I am not a huge beach person, but it seemed to have minimal seaweed and was regularly cleaned. We ate breakfast and lunch at the preferred club restaurant for the air conditioning but always opted for the buffet over the menu. The buffet had a lot of options, even for the pickiest (ie me) of eaters. For dinner we ate at most of the restaurants. We found them good and enjoyed all our meals. We usually went between 6 and 7 and never had to wait for a table of 2. We didn’t do the teppanyaki but ate off the menu at the Asian restaurant, luckily we ate between teppanyaki sessions as it was soooooo loud in there once it started. We went to breathless one night for the Italian and it was not good, we should have stuck with the dreams one. We also tried the coffee bar, burger bar and ice cream place. All were very good options. Overall, it was a great trip and would recommend.

Much needed vacation
A much needed vacation for my wife and me. Stayed here last year around the same time. Just as good the 2nd time around. We looked at other places and decided to come back. We looked around and nothing seemed as nice as Onyx and having access to Breathless made it that much nicer. Would definitely visit again in the future. Make sure to visit Simon when you stay. Best bartender on the resort.

Third stay here - never disappoints.
Beautiful resort. My 3rd time there. Food was great. Loved the ability to go to Breathless next door. Entertainment Team was personable, fun and made our stay enjoyable, Alex was kind and fun to participate in their activities. Vladimir and Jenny at the swimup bar friendly and prompt with their service. Juan at preferrred remembered us from past trips, as did the aforementioned. You will not be disappointed at this resort, every detail is perfect.
