Dec 01, 2024Stay Away from Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta – Terrible Experience
Do not waste your time or money on Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta. The resort is a health hazard, and the staff doesn’t seem to care about guest satisfaction or safety. There are plenty of other resorts in PV that offer better experiences—this one is not worth the risk. Avoid it at all costs.

Nov 30, 2024Great Resort In A Beautiful Location
We just returned from 10 days at the Grand Park Royal. Room 412. This was a really great vacation, and we would definitely go back. Have summed everything up below: Location: The hotel is in a great location for exploring the south end of Bandaras Bay. It's easy to get around by bus, either 15 minutes to town for 10 pesos, or 10-20 minutes south to Mismoloya or Boca De Tomatlan, again, only 10 pesos. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Getting to Punta Mita or Sayulita to the north would be a longer journey from here. Hotel Condition: The place is very well kept and has beautiful views over the bay. Room: Just amazing. We had a family Suite and it was huge and very clean. The walk in shower was beautiful and again huge. Maids came in each day, and we tipped each day. Beer/juice fridge always full Pool Area: The most disappointing part of the resort. Due to the fact that the sun rises behind the resort, it doesn't hit the pools until afternoon. Pools were also cold, in need of renovation and oddly shaped. To make it worse, from midday each day, the music was way too load, as was the entertainment staff. If you want to come on a vacation for a nice pool, avoid this resort. Beach: The beach, along with the room, were the highlights. Absolutely beautiful water, with great snorkelling near rocks at either end. Waves most day, and water gets deep fairly quickly, but my kids aged 8 and 12 played in waves and snorkelled constantly. Massive amount of sea life also, from manta rays to whales and dolphins. A whale also breached 4 times about 200 yards from the beach on our final day. Truly amazing. The only thing missing down there were sun beds. Come on park royal, you gotta have sun beds on the beach. Food:Overall the food was surprisingly good, and varied. Breakfast was the highlight for fresh fruit and omlettes. Only thing I would say is some of the food on display was luke warm at times. Staff:We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and extremely hard working. There is only one buffet restaurant so it gets busy. We didn't have to wait for longer than 2 minutes. I'd like to give a shout out to Orlando who was our waiter for most of our breakfasts and lunches on the veranda. He was awesome, super friendly and hard working. Cheers Orlando! Cons: Pool area: Terrible, overly loud and terribly designed. We avoided entirely. Needs a re design and renovation. Also, the speaker needs to be turned down a lot Entertainment: It's way too loud, and goes on till far to late at night. Didn't finish until 11 some nights, and there was no chance of sleeping before that. It needs to be turned down a lot, and finish by 9 or 9.30 at the latest. Weddings：2 weekend weddings while we were there. Took over parts of beach and a large part of pool area. I get it, there isn't much room, but it was a negative, especially the music till 11pm Cheers Grand Park Royal, maybe see you again, even just for that beach!

Stay at the grand park Royal It was a very disappointing trip to an all inclusive. Staff were not welcoming and only spoke Spanish so if you are not fluent in Spanish do not vacation here. We were here for 10 days which was too long for their food choices. We went to the international buffet and had to go to another restaurant to eat as it was gross. I have never been so disappointed and made to feel not welcome. We had issues and concerns and they were not addressed.

Great vacation with my husband. Hotel staff was very friendly. Speciality restaurants are meh. Small portions. Buffet options were great. Daily activities and nightly entertainment was average. Room view was amazing. Beach was amazing. Great sandy beach and conditions for swimming. Pools need some work. I actually didn’t go in the pools at all because they looked quite dirty. All in all a great hotel but if you are going to swim and are picky about pool water conditions maybe skip this hotel.
