    Amazing hotel with fantastic Staff

We chose Secrets The Vine for the first time after visiting other Secrets and Hyatt hotels in Cancun and Dominican Republic over the last 16 years. This was our 8th visit to Cancun and I can happily say it was a blast with great service from the minute you arrive. From looking at the hotel online you get the impression it’s a bit of a tower block compared to other hotels. It’s actually only 18 floors with the top 8 floors comprising the larger Junior and Honeymoon suites (Preferred Club) and the floors below being a mix of Deluxe and Junior Suites. The lifts are great as 3 lifts serve the top 8 floors with 3 more serving the floors below with all 6 lifts servicing floor 12 (actually the 2nd floor) where the Preferred pool, 3 restaurants, Spa and Gym are located so you never wait for a lift. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite which was a pleasant surprise. This had views of the sea and lagoon and overlooked the Preferred Club pool and Hard Rock Hotel next door. The room was amazing with a massive 8ft x 4ft glass enclosed shower and everything you would need including a large body lotion dispenser which was a plus after a day in the sun. In short there was loads of wardrobe space and the views were panoramic even though it’s not ocean front. I don’t think any rooms have a bad view even if you are looking at the lagoon and the higher you are the better the view. With regard to the restaurants we visited the food was very good, we visited the Bluewater Grill 3 times for steak, Nebbiolo twice for Italian and Dragons twice for Asian plus the Vine Cafe (which is 24hr) at least 2 times a day for coffee and pastries. (It’s hard not to stop by as you walk to the pool!) The drinks were great wherever you were with the quality of the cocktails and spirits better than I have experienced elsewhere. If I had any complaint it would be the AC in the main lobby area was too cold which caused me to go shopping for warmer clothes for the evenings as all the night bars were in the lobby area. This was reported by lots of guests from the day we arrived but even though lots of guests huddled around the fire each night the temperature never seemed to warm up so I guess the hotel can’t change it. Next year I’ll bring a few hoodies or cardigans just in case as this was the only issue I found and in no way compromised my enjoyment. The pools are spotless and towels are laid out on each sun bed by the hotel at 6.30am so there is no hunting for towels in the morning but most of the good sun bed positions are reserved by 7am even though lots of people don’t start using them until 10am but this is sane everywhere you go and given we are 5hrs ahead in the UK we were generally awake by 5am and getting coffee at 7am so found the beds we wanted on most days. The beach is quite narrow at the moment as it’s quite breezy so the waves cone in further but this forever changes and is more to do with the continual erosion and rebuilding of the Hotel Zone beach as I found when I visited the Zilara on 3 separate occasions to find the beach growing by 50m from one year to the next ! All in all Secrets The Vine has to be our favourite hotel. This came as a surprise to us given we’ve stayed at Secrets Silver Sands twice, Hyatt Zilara 3 times and Excellence Riviera Cancun twice which were also great hotels but Secrets The Vine excelled our expectations from the minute we arrived up until the moment we left. Certain people really made this a special holiday and I want to mention them for their benefit and also to let anyone visiting know that these individuals will give you fantastic service as well as chat openly to you about themselves if you want to chat to them, they are so open to talk to guests and make that special connection we all seek to find rather than them simply be in the background. They are as follows: Ixchel & Enid in the coffee shop, they definitely go above and beyond to make your holiday special 😘 Alan & Aisha in the Entertainment crew. They are happy, entertaining and there is no pressure to join in any activity but they come around to chat to guests and both really seem to love their job 😘 Ibeth, Daniel and Ruby serve drinks by the pool, they come round every 10 mins and are proactive to bring you drinks and clear empty glasses with a friendly smile and an engaging manner😘 Last but not least is Alejandro (Alex) who manages the pool/beach area with Angel. Alex was fantastic and informative, helping us with decisions on where to visit as well as assisting us with what we needed around the pool. He chatted about his life and family and was sooo friendly to us. Alex and Angel make sure everyone has a sun bed and are on hand to assist with anything you need and bake you want to return One thing I really noticed is how long the staff have been at this hotel with so many well over 10 years showing their love and commitment to the brand and to us travellers I will be back as soon as I can 🤞

    Secrets all inclusive

My wife and I went with a good size work group and had an amazing time. We love the variety of restaurants that were all on site. We spent most of the days down at the beach and our server, Juan, was absolutely amazing and fun to hang out with. I think future vacations are gonna be hard to beat secrets. The bar was set really high.

Hyatt the cheaters - Don't book in this hotel ever

The hotel scams people to participate in the VIP services presentation. The VIP services folks promises Hyatt membership and tells you that you can get into any ocean facing suites for $500 for 7 days . But they are actually scamming into buying membership of another company called UVC. They never show you any documentation until you sign up for the membership. They tell you 60 to 90 min max of your time promising you free stay at Hyatt hotels .All that is a fraud . Never trust Hyatt !!!. It's a shame Hyatt is using fraudulent methods to entice customers to sign up for a membership in a company that cheats people just because they made a mistake in purchasing it.
