Need lot of improvement on thier working staff and management staff.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with champagne and then guided to the registration desk. However, our first experience at check-in was disappointing. The staff was conversing in Spanish, and we overheard them saying, "Don’t even bother explaining upgrades; these people won’t be upgrading their room." My husband understood everything, and he was understandably upset. Despite this, we chose not to react as we were there to celebrate a special birthday with our cousins and didn't want to let it spoil our mood. Throughout our stay, we encountered more staff members displaying similar behavior, speaking in their language, which my husband could understand, but we never confronted them or responded. To make matters worse, our group dinner reservations were mysteriously lost not just once, but for two consecutive days, even though we had received confirmation emails each time. The staff seemed uninterested and dismissive of our concerns. When we addressed the issue with several managers, we found them difficult to work with as well. Some staff members even expressed frustration, saying things like, "My shift is over, I need to go home." It was astonishing how these incidents occurred daily, and the overall attitude from certain staff members made it hard to believe this was happening. While we did encounter a few amazing team members, unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression. Our large group traveled from different states to celebrate and have fun, but it feels like we chose the wrong place for a memorable experience.

November 2024 stay
We stayed in a Preferred Club Jr Suite Ocean View room on the 22nd floor which was very spacious with beautiful views of the ocean and lagoon. Our concierge Sara was wonderful and there to assist with anything. We found all the restaurants to be very good. Our favourite was Blue Water Grill which had the most tender Filet steak cooked perfectly. The staff at Market Cafe were so attentive and friendly, special shout out to Bernabe, Cesar, Eduardo and especially our lovely hostess Michelle who was always so welcoming. Rafael who normally does the Romantic dinners was our server one night at Dragons and was awesome. Marco at Nebbiolo was great. I wish I could remember everyones name, because for the most part its the staff that help make the resort great.

Great stay at Secrets the Vine
This was a 20th anniversary trip for my wife and I, and after a ten year hiatus from Cancun, we decided to go back. I'm a Hyatt Explorist and Silver Elite with Marriott, so we were concentrating on those 2 brands for our vacation. Although the Marriott AI hotels looked good, the reviews just seemed to be hit and miss, while the Hyatt AI's had many more positive than negative reviews. So we chose to go the Hyatt route. I originally booked the Hyatt Zilara Cancun in a swim up suite, but then thought that Secrets the Vine was much more our style. We booked the Master Suite Ocean Front room and with the Explorist reward category, we got bumped up to the Preferred Level which is the 21st floor and up. Preferred Club included a personal check-in area on the 21st floor, which was also a little snack area and upgraded bar area, a personal concierge/butler that was available during the day to help out with whatever we needed, a pool and bar on the 12th floor, and a breakfast restaurant named Olio also on the 12th floor. We used Cancun Airport Transportation for our transfers to and from the airport and I would recommend them, however STV told us that Amstar is who they use. The drive was only about 20 minutes from the airport and upon arrival, our bags were taken by the bell desk, and we were greeted with 2 glasses of champagne. The gentleman who greeted us took us on a small tour of the lobby area which is not air conditioned by the way, and then we got on the elevator and headed up to check-in. The check-in process was a little overwhelming as there was just so much information and the broken English the gal was speaking just made it harder, lol. We completed check-in and our butler Sara met us shortly after that. OCEAN FRONT SUITE: We were in room 2200 which was at the end of the hallway. As we got closer they had the door sash that said Happy Anniversary, so that was cool. The room was MASSIVE. It's about 1300 square feet, not including the patio/terrace. 2 living room areas, 2 full bathrooms, the main bedroom area, and the wraparound terrace/patio. There are 4 sliding glass doors that lead to the terrace/patio and there are 3 different sets of furniture on it. The views were very breathtaking as the ocean water has about 5 different hues of blue. We were very very happy with the room and Sara was just awesome! RESTAURANTS: We ate at all the restaurants and they were all very tasty. We really had no bad meal, but our least favorite was the Italian place on the 12th floor named Nebbiolo Ristorante, and our favorite was Dragon. We actually ate here twice as the first time our server Alejandro, told us if we came back he would have a special meal for us. He did in fact and he served us many different appetizers, and some that weren't on the menu. Both meals there were excellent. The preferred breakfast at Olio was good as we ate here twice, but the service was very slow. We had the same gal bot times and it seemed like she had just gotten out of training and was still learning the ropes. :-) But hey, we're on vacation and had nowhere to go, so it wasn't a big deal. We had 4 breakfasts at the Market Café, which is buffet style, and one dinner. It is sort of a weird setup to get into, but the food was very good. BEACH and POOL: The beach has the softest white sand ever and the water was just perfect. I found a handful of sea shells and one large conk shell while I was in the water. The flags were either red or yellow every day, so the water was very safe. There are no palapas here, so the hotel staff would put some loungers and umbrellas out if it wasn't to windy. Overall, it was an awesome beach. I feel like the pool areas, including the preferred pool, are just too small for the size of the resort. There were a few times where we had to share the same lounger for awhile until another chair opened up. So, a couple of days I just rented the 2 person cabana so we could have somewhere to sit. lol. The drink service was pretty good on most days and I never had to go to the bar to grab a drink, which was nice. ENTERTAINMENT: They had a very nice selection of entertainment options. They had dancers, musicians, acrobats, and even a drone show. Many shows were in the Red Vine Piano lounge, while some were outside. We enjoyed the entertainment. SPA and FITNESS CENTER: My wife had an 80 minute massage in the Spa one day, and a massage out by the cabanas another day. She really enjoyed both experiences. We also did the Hydrotherapy experience as a couple which is included with the Preferred Club feature and lasted about an hour. It included the dry sauna, wet sauna, cold shower, cold tub and hot tub. One of the staff members would escort us to each area and keep a timer so we didn't stay in an area too long. it was very relaxing. The Fitness Center was nice as well, as you could workout with a view of the Ocean. The one negative aspect of the resort is the front lobby area, which includes many of the restaurants They have no air conditioning in these areas, and it does get very warm and sometimes uncomfortable. We were there in November, so it wasn't a huge deal, but I can't imagine staying here during the warm and muggy season as I imagine it would be somewhat intolerable. All in all we really had a super nice relaxing anniversary vacation. I would recommend this resort to anyone. I have read some reviews that were downright nasty, and I just don't see how it's possible. Our experience was 5 star, but I do realize that some peoples expectations are very high and when those aren't reached, they will give a negative review. Thanks for reading and I hope this helped. Viva Mexico!

Add salt and flavor please!!!
The staff is very friendly. Check-in was easy checkout was even easier. But the food was very tasteless and very mediocre. If you are going for the food, this is not the place for you. That’s the only negative thing I can say about this location with all the restaurants they had there wasn’t one that actually had decent food. They have three pools, get there early or you won’t get a chair. They have direct access to the beach, which was beautiful and easy. Do not waste your time with getting the discount for joining a three hour sales pitch. They say it’s going to be only 90 minutes and it turns out to be 3 hours. Housekeeping is great. The bartenders are great.

Would NEVER Go Back
Beautiful place that was ruined by hospitality & poor staff attitude. Furthermore, very cheap alcohol choices “ bottom shelf.” Food was below average. The all inclusive was not worth it. Service was terrible. Staff appeared annoyed to be working & addressing our questions. Honeymoon gone wrong.
