Newer doesn’t mean cleaner
For my celebration weekend I wanted to try out the Linq since we usually stay at the flamingo or planet Hollywood - since it was one of the “newer” hotels we had normal if not a little bit higher expectations on the quality of the rooms. Our original room was going to be a double but since our second group didn’t come the concierge said they could upgrade us to a king with a fridge for additional $10 a night. The first room was atrocious not clean at all. Very visible dust clumps especially in the bathroom on the sink, which is a very common area as you wouldn’t think you would see so much dust in a pile like that since bathrooms are the easiest wipe down, there were small tiny hairs on the toilet seat, water droplets on the mirrors, VERY NOTICEABLE red and yellowish stains on the sheets/covers. We were very tired especially since our flight was at 5 o’clock in the morning and we just wanted to get into our room to take a nap, but this hotel has a $50 up charge if you want to check into your hotel before 3:30 PM so we waited and by the time we got into our room and after inspecting and noticing lots of disturbing things (one in particular thing that turned out to be report and sign a disclaimer on) so we moved onto room two. Anytime we go to a hotel we always inspect the bed immediately hence why we had to leave the first room. As both rooms had protectors on them (our friends who were in another room did not have a protector) but instantly after just lifting up the duvet and seeing another yellowish brownish stain on the side of the bed and again cleanliness of the room we went back down to get another room; this time it was a suite. Utterly exhausted and just wanting to lay down the 3rd room also had stained sheets. We realized that we were not going to get a “clean” room so the most we could do was just call for new sheets. Took 3 times to get someone up to turn over the bed when all we wanted was new sheets and a new duvet, but they wouldn’t provide that they just gave us new sheets and two tan blankets. The maid even had us sign a paper so she wouldn’t get in trouble for having her dust an wipe things down since there was also red stains on the ottomans and couch. The maid was pleasant about the extra cleaning and didn’t sigh or show attitude when cleaning, she even vacuumed but was just more concerned about getting in trouble with the boss for dusting. An awful start to the weekend and when checking out there was no care in world. The apology of “oh I’m sorry” without even eye contact or really any sound of any remorse solidified our decision to never come back to that hotel again. Still waiting to hear back from the report per the first room but nothing was offered or comped - my originally balance was $441 but somehow I was charged more around $550 an this is not including the resort fee that was put on hold upon checking in.

Terrible, will not stay there again
One of my worst hotel experiences ever, and I travel every month. When we checked in, the sink was full of black sludge. We were told housekeeping would be right there to clean it, but 45 minutes later we were still waiting….The next day the sink backed up again with black sludge and a sulfur smell. They offered no compensation or a room with a functioning bathroom. Will never stay there again.

In the heart of the strip.
Stayed here on Saturday night before Mother's Day and had a mixed experience. The LINQ had a discounted special for the weekend so our room was less than $100 but then the mandatory resort fee ($50) and taxes took us back to the room price before a discount. Not a fan of "resort fees" but a lot of places are charging for that now so it's hard to escape. Check in was "ok". I chose to not check in online and thought we could just check in like normal once we arrived. The front desk staff wants you to use the self check in kiosks which they directed us to. Tried two of those and it didn't work as it kept coming back with an error trying to read my state drivers license. Ended up having to check us in at the desk anyways. We asked for a high level room and ended up on the 19th floor near our friends which was nice (district 1 and 2). Our room had a view of concrete rooftops and air conditioning units and the Flamingo. That's fine, it's what we expected. Had a two queen bed room. Room seemed clean and had a coffee maker, mini fridge, and safe. Bathroom was fine but a little worn. Water pressure in the shower didn't exist. It literally was trickling out and there basically wasn't a need for the shower curtain. Maybe a different style shower head would help instead of the rain type shower head. Hot water was fast to arrive though. Room was quiet. Bed and pillows were mostly comfortable, however, if you were too close to the edge of the bed then you have to readjust your position throughout the night as the mattress kept sagging. I kept sliding towards the edge of the bed and am not overweight in case you were wondering. AC seemed to work well enough to keep the room cool. The parking garage is another animal in itself and was VERY frustrating. Not sure if the LINQ runs it or an outside company but something needs to change or be fixed. Trying to get into the garage took some time at one point. A vehicle two spots in front of us took around 10 minutes to get the gate to open. Meanwhile, everyone in line started honking but there was nothing that could be done. Why does it take that long to get through a gate for parking. Then......trying to leave the parking garage after checking out was incredibly SLOW!!! Plan to potentially sit in line to get out of the parking garage for 30-45 minutes like we had to. Hopped into the exit line around 10:35 AM and didn't get through the gate until 11:15 AM. Insane. At one point, a person in our group called the customer service desk to tel them how ridiculous it was to get out of the parking garage. Not sure if what was going on but definitely needed an employee at the gate to help expedite the process. It took us 5 seconds to go out the gate using a room key and dropping it in the slot as instructed. I guess some people are just challenged with gates? TIP: Trying to get into the parking garage at night after an event is letting out at the SPHERE can be challenging with roads being blocked off so plan accordingly. Anyways, it was an overall average stay. Nothing great, nothing terrible.

Would not recommend
Good location but cleanliness poor. Housekeeping not good. Staff not friendly. Pool area very loud and quite dirty. Linq try to upsell everything, e.g. a sun lounger not in the shade means you have to pay for the sun lounger. Dark and basic rooms. Wouldn't recommend at all.
