Good location. shame about the fire alarms
Went here for my honeymoon and the location is great and the staff are friendly. The pool is perfect to relax by and I could have easily stayed all day. Plenty of choice for food and drink. Sadly the fire alarm did go off twice at 5:30am and that put a bit of a damper on the stay.

No Attention to Detail
Decided to stay here for a night before my trip to the canyons because I was not able to visit the Linq Promendae on my last trip to Vegas. I was comped the room through Caesar's Rewards, so I really shouldn't complain. But I will. First the good: Quick check-in; self-park garage close to casino/room; service was good (requested extra pillows and blankets and I can swear I heard the door knock before I hung up the phone); bed was comfortable; the Promenade is great with many choices to eat. Now, the bad. I don't know what the room costs as it was comped, but I wouldn't pay whatever they charge. No attention to detail at all in this hotel. The garage elevator was filthy and slow. The regular elevators not too much nicer. The head board of the bed was broken and revealed inner wiring (see photo). The room was small. The walls and wallpaper were a little beat up. Chair in room was dirty and stained. Would not stay here again.

Average stay
It doesn't fit the bill for a 4 star hotel - at least, the rooms and staff don't. Unfriendly and unhelpful check-in staff, they're asking if you need help - which I did, I left my phone in the Uber I'd just gotten out of and staff point blank refused to let me use the phone to call my mobile to catch it before it got too far away or new passengers. They "can't make international calls from the desk" ... even when I offered cash and card to pay anything to get my phone back, they walked away and ignored me. Nice! Thanks so much! The rooms are nice but not really cleaned if you're staying a few days. The shower is absolutely pitiful, the water pressure is so bad that if someone stood over and spat on me it would have had more force, it was like a trickle. The toilet paper was super thin... why? The expriences on offer are fun and we dined at some of the restaurants, where staff were mostly more friendly and helpful, but not all. It's okay for a budget stay on the Strip and they have the advantage of being so central.

Politely, a mixed bag
Bit of an up-and-down experience this time round. Last visited the Linq about five years ago and quite enjoyed it. This time round, though, it felt a little underwhelming, unfortunately. So what's changed? Well, the resort fee remains dizzyingly high, and what you get for it is significantly less. I remember getting a nine or ten bucks breakfast credit last time round, whereas this time all you get is access to the wifi. That is literally it for your 45 bucks a night. I know I'm not the first and it's a safe bet I won't be the last, but it really is a racket. Check in experience wasn't the best this time round either - our flight arrived mid afternoon, but unless we wanted to pay an early check-in fee, we had to sit and mill around reception for half an hour until we could get into the room. The Linq's pretty cheap as far as the Strip goes, but this felt like unnecessary gouging - and we've never had that at any other hotel we've stayed at. I could appreciate it if we were trying to get in from mid morning or something, but our room was literally right there. Surely it's not too much to ask to get in from 3.30 in the afternoon. We upgraded to one of the suites and they're good. However, talking of rackets as we were earlier, the air con in the room was punishingly loud. I mean, aircraft taking off loud. Some of the public spaces look like they could stand a bit of TLC - at least one of the elevators had a smashed panel on the back wall which just gives off an air of the whole place feeling a little tired. Otherwise, the Linq is in a good spot and the casino floor still feels lively. Apart from the mean-spirited check-in process as outlined above, the staff we spoke to all seemed cheerful and helpful. And it is pretty cheap, with even the suites being reasonably priced. Might be a while before we're back again, though.

Great stay at the Linq
The Linq was a huge success for us. We stayed in "District 3" area of the casino which is the same area of the monorail and rideshare pick-up. Very convenient. We arrived at 10AM. $50 to check in early. Worth it. Several kiosks to check-in at. Centrally located and is right by the promenade and High Roller Wheel. Clean hotel and rooms. Slots were fun and table game dealers were great!
