Escape from the Snow
The staff at this resort are fantastic. A special shout out to Jada in the Infinity Bar and Candy in the Recreation/Activities department. However, the infrastructure of the resort is tired and needs a facelift. Much of the furniture is dirty, broken and worn out and the linens in our room (oceanfront suite) needed replacing. The food is average to above average and there are lots of choices of where and what to eat. Pools and beaches are first class and there is good lifeguard supervision. The property is large so you never feel crowded. Lots of places to sit down and relax out of the sun. Clientele was comprised of all ages including families and older couples. This is our third time at this resort. Previous visits were pre Covid.

Vacation
The resort overall is very nice keep in mind the size of this resort and where your room is located. Some rooms are very far from the main lobby area where restaurants and bars are located. What I didn’t like about the rooms is that the toilet and shower area is not very private. The tub is in the open area of the room and the commode has a half door not private at all. The buffet restaurants are excellent large variety of foods. The speciality restaurants were underwhelming, wait time for food is very long almost 1 hour for the steak restaurant. Yes I would return but I would know what to book next time around.

Great hotel.
One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Room was lovely, food was amazing with different choices every night and All staff where amazing. The only downside was the adults entertainment which there wasn’t really any of throughout the day if you’re interested in that stuff. Night time entertainment was very good and was different every night. It can be a 5 minute walk or longer from your villa to restaurants and pools etc but there is shuttle service for people who may have difficulty walking it. The hotel is slightly out of the way so if you are looking to do day trips etc then be prepared for a few hour drive to each trip but the drive is lovely and you get to see the coast and all the villages you drive through. All in all, amazing hotel and stay.

The Resort has its charms but lots of walking!
We arrived on a Sunday evening, ready to start our vacation, only to find that our toilet wasn’t flushing consistently, and the room phone wasn’t working. We went to the front desk to report the issues, and they assured us they’d look into it. Fast forward to Thursday—after several complaints to the front desk, the Sunwing Rep, and the housemaids—still no properly functioning toilet and no working phone. We eventually met another guest who directed us to the "Guest Services" person. She wasn’t easy to spot, as she didn’t have obvious signage to indicate her role—she looked like a tour selling rep instead. However, once we got in touch with her, things started moving. By Friday evening—five days into our seven-day stay—we finally had a working toilet and phone. So, lesson learned: if you run into issues here, be persistent. Things don’t happen quickly. This resort is massive, and you'll do a lot of walking to get anywhere. Plus, there are no elevators in the buildings, so if you have trouble with stairs (especially since there are three levels), you’ll want to prearrange a ground floor room. The resort consists of two parts: the Grand Palladium Jamaica and the Lady Hamilton, both sharing common restaurants, pools, and activities. Honestly, I couldn’t really tell the difference between the two; they seem pretty much the same. One of the highlights was Sunset Cove Beach, tucked away at the far end of the resort (Lady Hamilton end). It’s a peaceful spot where you can enjoy a lovely sunset and grab lunch or dinner at the Poseidon Restaurant. The food wasn’t spectacular, but the location more than made up for it. Something that rubbed us the wrong way was the "off-limits" pools and clubhouses for Signature and Club members. It felt a bit exclusive and created an “us vs. them” atmosphere that we didn’t enjoy. It definitely wasn’t the most welcoming vibe. As for the resort itself, it’s a little “tired,” but the grounds are well-kept, and the staff was consistently friendly and warm. You won’t go hungry, but don’t expect culinary brilliance. The food is okay, though they really like to use a lot of spice, so be cautious if you’re not into that. We tried a few a la carte restaurants (Italian, Steak, and Japanese), but they didn’t impress us. In fact, most of our meals came out cold and lacked flavour. Consequently, we stuck to the buffet, which we found more reliable. The Sports Bar was a nice spot to grab a drink or lunch, and I loved the self-serve soft-serve ice cream machine. The Coffee Bar upstairs was another gem, offering delicious cappuccinos and lattes — perfect for sipping while enjoying the view of the Caribbean Sea. The live entertainment didn’t really wow us—it was just okay. Lastly, the pool is quite large, but it closes early, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, while there were definitely frustrations with service and amenities, the resort had its charms, and the staff went out of their way to be welcoming. Just be prepared for a lot of walking, some slow service if you run into issues, and food that’s more “meh” than memorable.

Great trip with friends
This resort is top notch when it comes to cleanliness, pools , rooms etc. One of the nicest resorts we have been to. If you are looking to party this is not the place . It’s very family oriented and pretty quiet. You can definitely find lots of fun things to do around the resort though and good drinks . Most of the staff were very friendly ! Dermonique and Mimi of the POP entertainment team showed us and our girls a great time and made us feel welcome from the minute we met them! They danced with us and told us about Jamaica etc. The fitness classes in the pool were also fun. Music at the pool could have been a bit more upbeat in the afternoons is all. The pools were the cleanest well maintained I’ve seen down south ! The lifeguards were also very attentive and there were a lot of them . Sunset Cove Beach is the one to go to if you want calm water . You can snorkel right off the beach . This is where all the activities are held . This beach was decent but I wouldn’t rave about the other beaches . They are ok but definitely not my favourite. There was lots of gear to use but make sure if you want a snorkel to go early and bring cash for your 30.00 deposit . There is a members club here so some pools are not accessible to everyone and a section on the pool deck is blocked off . Plenty of room still. Drinks were good !! Night entertainment is typical and geared towards kids at the main theatre but upstairs at the bar they had some great singers and the group that did the steel drums was amazing ! The rooms were very clean and big! We had one with a pool and it was very clean . They cleaned it every day. Overall it was a great experience. Would have liked to go off resort more but it’s not close to much so you have to take a cab anywhere you go . Would definitely recommend this resort for a relaxing vacation or a family vacation. LOTS of stuff for kids to do and it seemed like they had lots of fun at the kids club .
