    A great time

Had a wonderful 2 week stay at Dreams Vista. A great resort with great amenities and an amazing staff. There is something for everyone, whether you are travelling as a family or a couple. Food and service was very good. This was our third time here, but first time with the preferred club. Highly recommend if travelling as a couple. With the club you have access to the rooftop adult pool and the two restaurants. The pool is a quiet area with amazing views and staff. The Blue Water grill offers breakfast and lunch. It is a an alternative to the buffet. They offer dinner to everyone over 13yrs. The other restaurant, Vista Prime requires a reservation and is only for preferred guests. The other restaurant are on the first floor by the main floor. We tried all of them, enjoyed every meal. They do not require reservations, with the exception of the hibachi table at the Himitsu. I would recommend downloading the Hyatt App, it provides all the information you need . Restaurant schedules and menus, how to make reservations for vista prime & hibachi table, room service, daily activities and night shows. Never had to get up early to find a place to sit, whether by the pool, on the beach or rooftop. The wifi signal was good everywhere at the resort. I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone was friendly . I would like to thank the following for making our vacation one to remember. Jessica, Dania,Leo and Eder at the rooftop pool. Militia, Cielo, Edgar, Richard,Mario, Heriberto, Grisey, Armando and especially Rueben(thank you for your help with my Spanish) at the Blue Water Adam,Alfredo,Carlos, and Carlos at the Chefs Table Albin the beach concierge and Jessica 15th floor housekeeping. Thank you to all at DREAMS Vista, you are the reason we will be returning for the 4th time.

    A great escape to Cancun!

I went away with my wife and another couple with whom we have travelled several times before. Kid free trip! We came here because our friends were here a year ago and loved it! Overall, we had a great, relaxing time (even though I got a cold part way through). The service was generally very good apart from a few staff. The drinks were great, but the food was a bit inconsistent. Some of the restaurants were good, but others, like the buffet and the one by the beach, were not great. Though the selection is good, the food there is not hot and often too salty to eat. Also, taco quality at the beach restaurant does not come close to what was at the buffet or other restaurants. That is odd given the country! The pool is lovely and the beach, while a bit small, is very nice. Very well maintained, and always chairs and umbrellas available. Some seaweed each day but it was quickly removed regularly throughout the day. On the beach, in the preferred section, Albin and Brian were fantastic! Very attentive and always helpful. Albin even made sure we were aware of the daily afternoon boat ride from the resort dock out to the hotel zone. A must see, as the water could not have been prettier! Like cartoon turquoise! Amazing. Oh, and ask them to take you into the nearby canal where the rich and famous live (i.e., Shark Tower). The rooms are nice. A good size and a comfy bed. Pillow options are available. Double sinks are great, though not with a drain that can close. It was a gigantic shower! I could not reach from side to side. That was fun. The rooms are cleaned well and properly stocked. Great views from the rooms, too. Everyone can see the ocean! The resort is pretty quiet overall, which is nice. It is not the place to be if looking for a party. That worked for us. There are plenty of bars and lots of options for beverages. They are not shy with the alcohol. Try everything! If you are preferred club, you will really enjoy the rooftop bar. So pretty all of the time. And kid free! And a special should out to Jessica on the rooftop. She is so nice and helpful and helped make our stay special as well. The a la carte restaurants are generally decent, though one or two are not open each night. That makes it a bit tricky to keep the food varied. No resos needed or taken, other than at Vista Prime, and it was not usually too long a wait to get in anywhere. I would recommend against the Japanese restaurant unless you are fortunate enough to get a reso at a teppanyaki table. We usually ate on the rooftop at the restaurant there. It was pretty good and consistent. The servers were super nice, though occasionally a bit slow. Busy place! Everyone loves overlooking the ocean while eating. Again, the buffet was diverse but not great. I also do not care to eat at buffets usually due to other people's handling of items. Check in was very easy. Check out too. Easy to get around the resort, as it is one long, skinny building. A good trip overall.

    Great Dreams trip to Cancun

Great service pool side. Our waiters Brian and Kendor really went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of our entire stay. The food in the restaurants was really good for most part but had a couple hiccups with service and getting food out to us timely and efficiently manner. However the food manager approached me to rectify my poor service. Overall great service from all employees. Very friendly and professional staff. Cleanliness was great too.

    Great Family Time at Dreams

Had a great time at Dreams Vista. Their restaurants are very accommodating with the kids especially, and my daughter particularly loved the kids plates at the buffet everyday. Clean rooms all the time, and fridge and coffee are constantly stocked. Special shout out to Albin at the beach; he is very personable, he offers assistance without being asked, helps carry our things (stroller, kids beach toys, etc), and suggests things to do. He is very proactive!

A warm escape for weather and service

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of January. Travel party was 3 couples. I give this hotel 5 stars as I legit can’t make up something bad about it. It checks all the boxes for its price point. The Preferred Club is worth it for not only the lounge but the rooftop pool. It really becomes its own community up there. We were able to make reservations for restaurants. The only disappointment was Vista Prime. I am giving the benefit of the doubt to them that they were having a bad night. Service was slow (we ended up serving our own wine and water). The food took long to come and sadly when the main course did arrive it was cold (we had the meat platter for 2). That being said, I can see if they were having a good night it would be another story. Bluewater Grill for breakfast and lunch is amazing. Never a wait. The teppanyaki was our favourite. The Lobby Bar and Preferred Club lounge were good spots in the evening. The Aperol Spritz and Cosmo martinis were amazing (can you tell I’m a suburban mom??). Beach is small but if you’re coming from somewhere with snow and frozen water, then it’s a great beach. Service is good. Iguanas like to come and visit you. Had a plunge pool room. The pool was not as gross as I thought it would be and was nice to have in the evening to hang out. The room itself is one of the nicest layouts we have had in our many travels. The bathroom is everything. Luckily we had no hot water issues. Housekeeping was always there when you needed and understood when you didn’t. We played golf and it is one of the most challenging courses we have played. Also, there’s alligators. Will be talking about the rounds for a long time. The Aquaworld desk helped us arrange a jet ski adventure as well as a 6-hour fishing trip (sailfish and barracuda caught). Good guys. Spa is right out of a magazine. Lives up to the picture and the hydrotherapy circuit is a nice treat. We did not have any issue with timeshare hassling at all. I don’t know if it’s luck or we just weren’t impressive enough to bother? Would go back again.
