Beautiful Grounds, Friendly Staff, Horrible Food, Outdated Rooms
I joined some friends on a group trip, so this was a last minute trip and I did not research the resort before booking. The group rate was a great deal but looking back, I would have paid more money to stay at a nicer resort. Pros The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pools are nice, there are plenty of lounge chairs by the beach, and it’s clean. The resort has peacocks walking around which is a nice touch. Drinks: It’s easy to get drinks at the bars. I only drink white wine, so it was always available for me at the bar. Service: The staff were friendly and professional. Cons Food: The food was sub-par. I’ve stayed at all-inclusive resorts before and this resort has the worse food I’ve ever had. It’s hard to dine anywhere but the buffets. They advertise a lot of restaurants, but you need a premium package to eat there. We ended up leaving the property to eat better food. Rooms: The rooms are outdated and worn down. They are in desperate need of refurbishment. We had to get moved to a new room because our AC didn’t work. The bathroom in the new room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was a random fire alarm beeping in the hallway all night that kept me and the guest in the room next door to to mine awake on the first night. Despite the deficiencies, I would say the staff onsite were great. Since the food and accommodations were terrible I would never return or recommend this resort to anyone else.

If you can, go somewhere else
We love to travel and this time my husband, my parents, and my daughter’s family went to Cancun for a wedding. The wedding was beautiful, the minister was amazing, the ceremony, the party all so nice. Other than that, the stay was really piss poor. Food is horrible at the buffet, especially TunKul. Waiters are not nice, it seems they’re mad at people all the time. There’s a handful of exceptions, like Carmen at the Coffee and You shop by the Bahia Restaurant. She’s nice and friendly. Margarita who did our room was amazing as well, Romeo at the wet bar, Jesus at the Tatish Buffett and Evelyn at the hamburger place at La Placita were nice as well to us. Maki Taco and Bahia restaurants are good. Food is delicious. Service ? Not so much. Waiters again cranky, seemed that didn’t want to do their jobs. We had Rodrigo one day and Ricardo the next one. Both same attitude. So sad. Why we went back to the restaurant that had such bad service ? Because it’s almost impossible to get a reservation anywhere else. And in Maki Taco you don’t need a reservation. Just go early for dinner, if not, you’ll have to wait over an hour to eat. Front desk people is horrible, concierges useless, security personnel at the souvenir shop rude. One of them closed the store door right on my nose ! We’re never going back there. Ever again.

This resort needs to shut down immediately
This hotel needs to shut down immediately.they are rinsing the plastic cups with water and handle them from one customer to the next without any sanitation. My child got sick after getting water from these plastic cups from the bar. No management to be found, my child situation was not acknowledge and they brushed me off every time I need to speak to manager. Food was disgusting, shower in my room was broken and was not able to take a shower after two days into our stay with them. Disrespectful staff every-time I need to bring their attention to my child situation, one of the staff told me that ‘if you need to check out, got ahead check out’. There is a lot of issues with this hotel. The next day we checked out early. I booked four nights, and I only stayed for three nights while I was trying to find a different resort. No house keeping, I had to talk to the concierge three to four times to get a house keeping to clean my room. This hotel has truly wasted my vacation time, everyday this is an issue and it would take hours to finally talk to someone. Please take my advice, do not book this hotel. You vacation will be wasted and you will regret it.

First in Mexico and it was a a good experience
My experience was amazing, with Rafael Perez and Alejandro Canto Concierge. The individual were polite,Profesional and took care any concerns that I had in an efficient time frame. I believe these two individuals are an asset to the resort.

The worst
Rooms are run down. Spent 4 hours trying to get internet to work on day 1. Food is just off. I can’t explain it. It’s off. Mgmt is MIA. This place is dead to me. They just don’t care. I did enjoy sleeping in a hammock. Stay to planet Hollywood instead.
