Anniversary week
We spent a majority in f our time at the Miramar Beach Club in a Bali bed and adults only pool! All week we were waited in by Yudith as our waitress in the beach club. Florencio and Miguel Cohou were out bartenders there. They made the week amazing! Yudith stayed on top of our drinks and Florencio and Miguel knew what we wanted when we walked to the bar! They definitely made the week amazing!

Grand Oasis/Pyramid Cancun Mexico
Where do I begin! So I actually got upgraded to the pyramid for free as soon as we checked in but couldn’t enjoy the amenities of the pyramid so it was pointless but I enjoyed my room it was clean! What I didn’t like was some of the workers were very racist and rude if you didn’t look like them or speak spanish. The girl in the ice cream shop on the blue band side was very rude and so were the coffee ladies. Anytime I asked the girl at the ice cream place for a specific flavor she said she didn’t have it but when the Spanish people asked gave and she talked to them. The food at the buffet was absolutely disgusting! The fries were cold they served the same thing daily, drinks were terrible. The Chinese restaurant was the best food and service I will say. I would not stay at this resort ever again. The building was hot and old, they only have 1 elevator which is crazy! I had to leave the resort to eat anything good and to have decent drinks and a good time. All in all Mexico was fun but this Resort just wasn’t for us!

Additional costs never mentioned while booking, terrible customer experience service.
Terrible in various aspects, traveled along with 7 families and it is by much the worst experience ever. This is not even a 1 star hotel. Food is acceptable however less variety and offering than mentioned while checkin in. Drinks… well better not mention it. Just be careful when you hear “included” as for this hotel is always something unrealistic. It’s a big difference what you are told while booking compared to what you receive. Transportation was okay as it was offered while booking as an included service but 40-45 min waiting time after you show up with the local point of contact upon arrival. Concierge service is worst of all. They never mention there were additional (basic) costs not included while booking such as safe in the room as you need to rent a lock for 10 dollars per night. This is for sure not explained in any previous brochure you get while booking. Standard room is pretty much standard, nothing but bed and bathroom. Not even space for unpacking, room is old and antique and bathtub is not properly working. In terms of differences between categories well, let’s say don’t stay here unless you are willing to pay for the pyramid categories otherwise you will be expelled for almost every near by area. While checking in I was told I would have access to almost everything with small differences in categories (as expected for what you pay) however it was completely the opposite, what you get is not even close compared to what you pay. In general the worst experience ever and I arrived today, just willing to move away as soon as possible. Usually customer experience team would reply saying that they feel sorry for the inconveniences and they would work in improving but please… don’t lie you really don’t regret this, don’t share you even care as you don’t, concierge team Sahara Aburto even mentioned my concerns had already been shared previously by other customers and no positive response were given so far. Concierge told me my only point of contact were the booking team I reserved the room with and it was their obligation to make me aware about every additional hidden cost before even booking. To be honest if I would have know I wouldn’t ever have booked here. Hope this works for other customers, there are other options very close with better price-profit relation. This is not an option.

Incredibly underwhelming
Where do I begin? I highly suggest staying day away from this hotel. I took advantage of a Monster deal. Originally monster had numerous locations in Cancun to choose from- all with better reviews. However when I was ready to book a quick trip to Cancun Grand Ossis was all they offered. The driver who picked us up from the airport got us to the hotel 45 minutes behind schedule because he picked up a different couple after our pick up and decided to take them to their hotel first even though it was obviously much closer to drop us off first at Grand Oasis. Definitely a poor introduction and it felt like this wouldn’t have happened if we were Mexican. The reception staff isn’t very alert and attentive and I struggled with my suitcase as I entered the front lobby as a man in a concierge uniform acted as if he didn’t see me struggling- never offered to help. If you stay at the Grand Oasis there are different “tiers” of access. The blue bracelet gets you the most gross, low quality food available. The buffet has a bunch of unrecognizable and unappealing dishes and on a scale of 1-10 the food is a solid 2-3. If you are a foodie or just appreciate good, fresh, quality cuisine that is abundant in Mexico you will VERY disappointed here. The other food options remind me of an under funded high school cafeteria. The crowd seems to be more like a local population looking for a staycation close to home. Cocktails and wine are also below average. The trattoria was the only restaurant I found acceptable so that one is where I’ll be every day but it’s only open for dinner. The staff is a mixed bag- some are friendly and enthusiastic- others don’t seem like they even want to be there.. The room is spacious and overall nice enough. Day 3 we got hit with a tropical storm. The whole hotel is currently flooded including my room, which has a 2 inch layer of water covering the entire floor. The elevators are shut down and we have multiple flights to down and up if we want to leave the room . Though I know we can’t control nature the hotel was completely flooded after the overnight storm with large amounts of water invading the buildings, rushing down the stairs (see photo) and creating multiple safety hazards. Shouldn’t the building structure be in better condition ? There are ceiling leaked and water everywhere…. I must say that hard working staff is doing their best to clear the water but obviously it’s a terrible situation especially for people who are less Mobile. Definitely so Many better places to be in beautiful Cancun!
