May 15, 2025Secrets St. James wedding/honeymoon
St.James was so beautiful. The beaches are kept clean and the wait staff make sure your taken care of. Our Butler's made sure we needed nothing our entire stay by bringing us jerk chicken from the cart which was my favorite food the whole time and drinks by pool or beach never stopped. We were married on the beach while there and it was amazing with the sunset in the background! If you never been to Jamaica this is the place to go!!

May 12, 2025Great vacation, until food poisoning! Avoid this resort!
This was our 2nd trip to Secrets St James. We were so excited to return. Stayed preferred ocean view room via St James side (non butler). Room was fine, outdated but was clean. We enjoyed our first couple of days until my husband came down with severe food poisoning. The rest of the trip he was bedside unable to move, eat etc. We didnt see the nurse on site as he wanted to travel home to US for doctors. We have been home for 2 days and still the same status health wise. We marked this down to three different items he ate that I didnt- the preferred snacks (sushi- looked gross and smelled fishy), lamb at Breathless rooftop or the Tartar at Bordaux. This ruined our trip and when mentioned to the staff and at check out, no one seemed to have cared. In addition, we had an excursion booked through Amstar that they would not refund us for unless he saw a Dr (which would have led to going to a Jamaican hospital. NO THANK YOU)! I am sorry, but his health is more important and we would not make up him being sick! Outside of the food poisoning, beware the chair game is unreal. The only way to really get good chairs is with a butler reserving them for you. It was unreal how many blocked chairs by the butlers happened every day and alot of times no one sat in them. This is one of the only Secrets resorts out of many we have visited where this has been the case. On a positive- beautiful sunets and good entertainment.

Poor reception process, very dated and run down. Housekeeping, while friendly is understaffed and late (after 4pm) or may be skipped entirely. Restaurants were okay but service was extremely slow at time even though it was not particularly busy.

Our Jamaica 🇯🇲 trip
We spent 10 days in Jamaica. We stayed at Secrets St James and had a fabulous time there. Zoya (a UVC representative) met us at checkin. She was fabulous and friendly and helped us out all week long. Santanya kept our room tidy and clean each day and helped us out when we needed it restocked with things. Kerry Anne Served us each day the at the preferred club pool with her joyful and happy spirit!! Every evening we’d visit the Coco Cafe for coffee and rum and raisin icecream with rum cream and Tanika would serve us with a friendly and eager attitude. Shenea served us twice at breathless altitude rooftop restaurant which was by far the best food and view and meal experience !! All in all an amazing time at Secrets St James.

Great stay and great value for money. Staff incredibly nice and attentive. Massive thank you to Tanya for looking after me and my husband. We will come back and we highly recommend the resort .the room was big, restaurants were ok - Piano bar was our favourite out of all the bars. Looking forward to come back ;)
