Oct 09, 2024Enjoyed our Stay
The Resort itself was clean and the service was great. I visited with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed our stay. Hurricane Milton was passing by during our stay so it did ruin about half a day with the resort not being allowed to serve alcohol due to government restrictions. Will definitely give a shout out to the service from Cesar, Manolo, Berni, Juemy, and Bernice who provided excellent service at the Market Cafe.

Don’t upgrade to preferred, waste of money. This is our 2nd visit but first time we didn’t upgrade to preferred and I wish we had saved our money and not upgraded. Check in was confusing, we were taken to 21st floor with a glass of bubbly told to take a seat then we just waited and waited until my husband went to ask lady at the desk to ask about us checking in and she had no idea we were waiting! Then waited in room for luggage to arrive. Room is nice , on 22nd floor with a wonderful view of beach. We can hear the hotel fans outside down below our room but to change rooms would mean to pay for upgrade or lose our wonderful view so will try to ignore fan noise. Had no turn down service so not sure if that has to be requested 🤷♀️ We tried breakfast at preferred which is beside the preferred pool. Pool guy helped place our towels on two loungers, we went to the breakfast waited over a hour for food and I didn’t enjoy my salmon bagel, salmon wasn’t the best , we returned to pool and people are in our beds !! We complained and pool guy said we should have placed a book or suncream to claim beds. !! We had dinner at dragons again such a long wait for food which we didn’t enjoy. I feel the hotel has gone down since our last visit , looking a little tired which is a shame. We still have 12 days left so hoping my next review is a better one.

Wonderful trip
Pedro, Sergio and Diego - part of the hotel entertainment team - were fantastic. Polite, courteous and entertaining. They made you feel very welcome but were not too pushy which was really appreciated. It was such a great trip! I cannot wait to return.

An excellent experience, Alain & Sarai were very attentive.
The hotel accommodations were excellent along with the entertainment although my complements go to chef Isidro at the Dragon for preparing a superb Beef Filet Bulgogi. It was the best cut of beef I’ve tasted in years. I’ve been to many all inclusive UVC hotels and the staff was amazing in their attentiveness to our needs. Not to single anyone out but waiter Sebastian and Alejandro at this same restaurant were outstanding. I also would like to add that at the Market Place Chef Samara Juarez was very quick in preparing everything that was asked by guests and very delicious and to mention that she what everyone person ordered, the best.

Don’t do it to yourself. Where to start.. the lobby is super hot. Which would be fine if it was a breezeway but it also encompasses the main bar, the clothing store, the main buffet, the ice cream spot, and the evening’s entertainment. So all of those areas are unairconditioned. In fact there was a fire feature on at all times that was emitting heat.Not much customer service coming from the staff. We generally felt brushed off and lucky if we received the items that we asked for. Our room was cleaned once in three days and we had to call downstairs for towels. Sheets were scratchy and terrible pillows. Importantly , there was no secondary lock on our bedroom. I would not have felt comfortable at all if I were alone. Peeling paint and broken woodwork all over the property. All in all I cannot recommend this one. Oh yes!! Witnessed a fight in the night club. Which is not acceptable.
