May 13, 2025Friends/couples celebrating a 50th birthday!
I read a fair amount of negative reviews about cleanliness and broken things and loud party pool but we didn't have any of that. the rooms were spacious and clean and everything worked great. The mattress and pillows were the most comfortable things I have ever experienced. would actually love to know the brand/manufacturer b/c I would order both right now for my house...it was THAT good! the specialty restaurants were delicious and even though we had a party ranging in size from 8 to 12 people they were able to accommodate us either all together or nearby tables without even having reserved in advance. the buffet was as you'd expect at an all inclusive, good food, nothing negative to say but it was nice to have easy ordering to the pool, having the nook for coffee and the Xhale club for some additional snacks at other times. the pool staff on the Xhale club side were so attentive that we felt like royalty. the party pool could get a little loud during the day but it was empty and quiet at any time someone would be sleeping and with the patio doors closed, even mid afternoon it was very quiet in the room. the entertainment at night was fun and the night club was a really fun night of pretending we were 22 for my 50th birthday! Can't recommend this place more. Agree with other reviews though that despite secrets being considered the "higher end" of the shared properties, all the amenities besides one restaurant were on the Breathless side and the secrets part of the property was quite small. wouldn't pay the extra for the name to stay at secrets when Breathless has all the stuff for less money. our only dinner at the secrets restaurant was for my actual bday and they could seat all 12 of us at one table. They didn't even mention that that night was only a buffet and everything was completely cold. Our only bad dining experience all week was on the secrets side.

Mother's Day Trip w Mom and Sister
We just returned from Breathless Cancun Riviera. May 8-12 We choose to bring our 76-yr old Mother to this resort for a daughter(s) & Mother Mother's Day mini-Vacation. We had such a wonderful time- The Pool Concierge gentlemen Vincent and Enrique were just amazing; we were treated like queens the entire time we were there. (3 Shots of Espresso) Rogelio the pool waiter, very attentive The entertainment team were around doing the normal activities but were not that interactive as I have experienced in the past visits. The Gals at the coffee shop, were just delightful, my mother is a major coffee drinker, and they knew her and her order each time she stepped in for a cup- Made her feel so welcome.

Great time!
The guys at the pool were fantastic. Vicente, Enrique, Regilio, Edwin, were all amazing. They made our stay even better than expected. Shout out to the Pool staff!! Also if they have the Magic show, go SEE IT. It is great!! Way better than expected. This hotel is a lot of fun. Be ready to party.

Perfect Romantic Getaway with Fun Vibes and Incredible Service!
Absolutely loved our stay at Breathless Resort & Spa! My boyfriend and I visited in late April/early May, and everything exceeded our expectations. The service was top-notch, the food and drinks were delicious with tons of variety, and the vibe was both fun and relaxing. The entertainment was high energy but optional, so we could join in or unwind by the pool or beach. Our room was modern, super clean, and had beautiful views. We especially loved the rooftop and the attentive staff everywhere we went. Perfect mix of romance and excitement, can’t wait to return!

First, the positive - the staff! I cannot say enough good things about the staff. On our last night, Edwin at Spumante made our night so special that it almost brought me to tears with a special dessert presentation. Also, Thomas at Picante was remarkable. He made us feel like family and couldn't sing his praises enough. Caesar, who worked our swim out rooms the entire week - amazing. He waited on us hand and foot.. we never went without food or drink and really made our week special. Ivan with the Entertainment staff was also great. After talking to him one time, he remembered our names and really connected with us. We couldn't wait to run into him again on the resort and be a part of his next show. We did his and Thomas's cocktail class and it was such a great time!! Dinner was fantastic each evening. I am still thinking about the churros from Picante and the burrata from Spumante! Breakfast buffet was also good every morning - but I do wish churros were there every morning, not just some days! For lunch, we either ate at the pool or at Strip. The burgers were great!! When it comes to the negative... I am not sure what the benefit of paying extra to be a part of the XHale club were except for the room location. Yes, there was a Xhale club room that had "upgraded liquor".. but you could find it around the resort in other locations. You do not have bracelets or anything showing you are part of Xhale club, so there is no way to know if you should get top shelf or not..so everyone is getting what you get. We booked an ocean front swim out room in building 5. The swim outs were cold most of the day that we could not enjoy the swim out itself for most of the trip, plus they were smaller in size than other resorts we have been to. There was just a small window when the sun was shining that we could be in the pool. We also did not have a lounge bed on our deck, only chairs, so we could not lay out if the water was too cold. All rooms around us had lounge beds, so I do not know why we did not. I could've asked for some, but didn't want to be a pain. Speaking with other guests at the resort, we noticed that not everyone had the same experiences.. example, it was our honeymoon trip. We were told ahead of time that we would be spoiled for our honeymoon and that the staff did that all on their own. We did have a banner on our door, but besides that.. nothing else special happened. When talking to other guests at the pool, they said that they had rose petals or a bottle of champagne waiting for them in the room, which they did not pay extra for.. and we did not have either of those. Maybe they did pay for it and didn't want to disclose that to us, but we would have loved that experience. When we arrived "honeymooners" were written on our luggage tag, so I thought there might have been something special planned, but there was not. We had friends travel with us that stayed two rooms down, and they informed the staff it was our honeymoon, which is why I'm assuming the banner was on the door. Overall, we did enjoy our time here because of the staff, however, I do not know if we would return. The ocean front swim outs were the main reason we chose this resort, and we couldn't utilize them the way we wished, especially for the price of the "upgraded" xhale club.
