Oct 15, 2024Huge security issue beware!
Terrible experience! Too far to walk to rooms and transportation took 45 min to an hour. Rooms had issues and to top it off someone that works there stole $400 from our room. They came through the room service box. They said they were not aware that the outside lock for the room service box’s were not locked although an employee told us they are never locked. This is a huge security issue because a person can easily fit inside and enter your room and this is most definitely what happened while we were gone to dinner. They did nothing about it and left them unlocked. I will never stay there again nor will I recommend to anyone.

Oct 12, 2024Loved the life in Costa Rica!
This was our second secrets resort that we stayed at. We loved every minute! Be prepared to walk up hills. The beach was gorgeous and food was amazing. I was able to have two massages and they used just the right amount of pressure. Everyone was nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Don’t let the rainy season deter you from visiting or the weather forecast. It was sunny most days with brief rain showers. We did two excursions through amstar. Jet skis and the waterfall and hot spring.

We had a wonderful experience at Secrets Papagayo for our wedding anniversary. The resort was incredible. The landscape was all lush vegetation and the scenery breathtaking. I was amazed with all the butterflies and hummingbirds flying around. We felt like we were transported into our own paradise. I loved it is a smaller resort property, I felt more like an individual guest instead of part of a crowd. The resort is built onto the side of a hill, so there are some hills to walk. However, there is a transport service that will quickly pick you up and take you wherever you needed to go. The drivers were always happy to help with any questions and pointed out trails and other activities at the resort as they drove you around. Our room was a cozy bungalow with a deck overlooking the beach. It was a breathtaking view, rain or shine. My favorite part was sitting on the deck drinking coffee each morning. The food was the best we have ever had at an all inclusive, everything was delicious. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The spa service was top notch - a very relaxing experience. If there was an issue, the staff and management were right on top of it to make things right. We booked off the property adventures through Frank the Tank on FB - he did a great fantastic job of making our dreams come true. The jet ski tour and zip lining were incredible. The tour guides and drivers were friendly and spoke great English. Highly recommend and hope to return.

Costa Rican Honeymoon
The people in Costa Rica are the friendliest in all my travels. We were on our honeymoon and the level of hospitality we experienced was incredible. We felt safe, protected, cared for, looked out for and they knew where we were at all times and knew our names. The staff loved their jobs and it showed in every aspect of their service. Yasniri. in Entertainment had high energy and positive enthusiasm all 9 days we were there. David and Amed were always available with a personal touch to make our stay memorable and comfortable. James at Amstar, walked us through each step of our adventures, and we went on 5 different excursions during our 9 days at Secrets. He was available to answer all my calls and texts very quickly to ease my mind and make me feel comfortable. All in all, we highly recommend this vacation. The property is lush and very clean. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding is fluffy and soft. The transportation around the resort is actually fun, they zoom you around wherever you want to go. If you want to be pampered and truly enjoy your vacation, the Costa Rican people will make that happen. Thank you Secrects

Great time at Secrets Papagayo
Super clean rooms. Staff was amazing with great service. Good food. Yasniri in activities did a great job! Steven & Henry were great and all the van drivers . If you didn't want to walk the hills the van drivers came very very fast, so there wasn't any waiting around. The sunset hike is strenuous but so worth it.
