AVOID AT ALL COST!
My family stayed at the Royalton Resort over the Thanksgiving holiday: Pros: • Check-in was quick and efficient. Cons: Staff Attitude: • Staff members were consistently rude, treating guests as though they should feel privileged to be there, as if they were doing us a favor. Restroom Issues: • Most restroom stalls around the resort were out of service, leaving only one functional option. • Many lacked basic necessities like soap, and some stalls didn’t have working locks. Room Problems: • My room had multiple maintenance issues, including: • Flashing and burnt-out light bulbs. • A TV with visible lines across the screen. • Shower water pressure cutting out entirely in the middle of use.Despite reporting these issues, they remained unresolved for two days, even after multiple follow-ups with our butler. Resort Facilities: • The Lazy River was completely non-functional during our five-day stay, despite visible construction and promised amenities. • The kids’ play area had caution tape around several sections, with no apparent repair work being done during our visit. Diamond Club and Butler Service: • Upgrading to Diamond Club was disappointing: • Premier liquor was only available in the Diamond Club lounge at the hotel entrance, not at the pools or beach. • Our butlers were slow to respond, often taking 45 minutes to an hour (if they responded at all). Food Quality: • Buffet food was barely edible, with flies frequently seen on the food. • Food was often left out cold, and the overall service at the buffet was poor. • The app for making restaurant reservations was non-functional, and butler assistance with reservations was unreliable. Highlights: • Renting a cabana for $160 a day was a rare bright spot. The service from Tyrese, the cabana butler, was exceptional. He provided attentive and friendly service that stood out amidst an otherwise dismal experience. Final Thoughts: Despite attempting to make the best of our stay, the consistent issues with rude staff, poor maintenance, inadequate food, and broken amenities made this trip extremely disappointing. If you are considering a trip to this resort, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Worst hotel I’ve been too in Jamaica
Don’t waste your money here. It’s the worst hotel I’ve been too since I’ve been visiting Jamaica. 1st day we got there picked up a towel to wipe my hand and there was make up all over it. That night we had sand in our room went to the front requested someone come clean it up nothing. Went back requested a broom to do it myself still no one came. The next day my butler has someone come and do it and after instructing them that there is also sand on the pull out couch it was not taken care of till 3 days later. The. On arrival I had to wait about a hour just to be checked in after my friends who was not a diamond club got their room in 10 mins. Room service limits you to ordering once. We had the diamond club and the only helpful staff was the butlers Leo and Demar. For the price of this hotel and the service you get it’s really not worth it. Try Sea Gardens instead they are 100x better with service, employees, food and over all just a much better hotel. And don’t bother booking diamond services there is no perks to it. I requested my laundry receipt cause of how much I was charged still waiting. I will never recommend this hotel. I would warn anyone DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL.

Diamond Club Package - Not worth the $ Very Long, but worth the time to read before you book
As a 3rd time returning guest with the Diamond Club package purchase I wanted all of what my dollars paid for the butler services throughout the day, top shelf beverages, nightly turn down services and replenishing of snacks in room. Pros: The wait staff in the restaurants were great, very personable and attentive. Berry at the lobby bar was the absolute best, hands down. He remembered our drinks and made sure to give us premium liquor without hesitation. The grounds are well kept, pools and beach area are clean. Our luggage was mishandled at the airport, but that did not impact our hotel stay. Upon our arrival to the resort, approx 3pm, we were greeted and taken directly to the check in desk and then taken to the Diamond Club Lounge. Cons: We were introduced to Desmond, who we thought was our butler until he began talking about the resort and signing up for a tour for a free gift. Okay, we fell for it and booked the 90 minute tour 8:30am next day. We were then given our band for our room but was never given our butlers name. From experience butlers will contact you via whats app if not present at the time to do a formal introduction which I confirmed with the desk agent. That didn't happen at all on our first day. Day 2, received calls to the room from Desmond and desk agent. During the tour in which we weren't interested in purchasing anything (time share/Diamond club member) and shared with the tour guide, we were focused on our locating our luggage. Once the tour was over and we advised our butler was non existence, we then got a text on day 2 @ 11:13am from Lavardo, who advised he had been looking for us all morning. Not sure why he wasn't aware of the booking of the tour because the agent and Desmond knew. I advised Lavardo we were at the Diamond club side beach and he responded he was in the lobby..An hour later I had to ask him if he was available to bring us some food and drinks. Food wasn't available until 12:30, so we waited and received jerk chicken and fries. Lavardo then introduces us to Tashika (Tash) who would accommodate us after his shift and he would add her to our group chat. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Day 3 text Lavardo at 11am, no response, text at 2:40pm all for him to say Tashika would be there and would be contacting us. We watched her tend to someone right on the beach where we sat for about 20min while she was texting us and I expressed my disappointment with the lack of butler services. Finally received our drinks about 3:30pm and she set up 2 chairs for us, apologized and blamed Lavardo for not creating the group chat. Let me mention the random dogs on the beach who casually roams around the lounge chairs sniffing for food and marking their territory wherever they want as the workers stand around talking and watching. Signs up to not feed the animals and yet guest still do, hence why they are comfortable walking up to you as you eat your food. At 4:30pm Tash advised her shift ends at 5pm, Lavardo isn't in so if we need assistance to contact the front desk. Ummm, excuse me but I did pay for the Diamond package only to get treated like a regular guest. Day 4, our last day, received a text from Tash bright and Lavardo bright and early asking to provide our check out time to arrange for a bellman. I declined any help at this point. Now everyone is looking for a tip, I THINK NOT!!! Upon departure Lavardo was not there and she hung around in hopes of a tip. Obviously I had a great experience since this is my 3rd time returning and wanted to share, only to be highly disappointed with the lack of service and communication.

Should be a five star except for the hotel reception
I would give this hotel a five star if it wasn’t for the aggravation I went through a check-in. Spent my entire first full day, trying to get them to move to the proper room only to have to get two managers to do it exactly as it should’ve been done hours before. Very disappointing. And as a person who does a lot of customer service, they basically didn’t offer anything for our aggravation
