This modern 5-story adults-only (18+ age minimum), 150- suite resort boasts chic design and state-of-the-art technology including free Wi-Fi and in-room tablets. Every suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, gorgeous marble bathrooms and furnished private balconies or terraces with a whirlpool and stunning mountain and bay views.

Great experience. The whole staff from those at check in to housekeeping was absolutely wonderful, courteous, and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend Breathless MBJ

The resort had amazing views of Montego Bay, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it as there are way too many other options for better value. The room was dated with peeling furniture, and moldy showers. On our second morning I saw a roach. When i initially called our butler, he told me ‘roaches are to be expected during summers in Jamaica’. Nope, not what I wanted to hear. After about two hours we were given another room and the manager gave us a $200 credit to use at the resort. The food was mediocre however some of the Jamaican dishes were good. I’ve had better stays at other resorts in the area and don’t plan on returning.

We celebrated our 37th anniversary at the Rooftop Bar and restaurant at Breathless Montego Bay Resort. The best part was our service. I’d like to acknowledge Felicia who did an amazing job, was kind, and service was impeccable- she took care of everything we needed. Her service was definitely a 5. The views were breathtaking from every direction. At night, it was spectacular- definitely a 5. Food was the lacking part. We did not get anything that was really a 4 or a 5. I ordered an entree that was mushroom ravioli (or something like that). I was expecting all kinds of different types of mushrooms in the sauce and/or the ravioli to which I got only a couple tiny pieces. I think enough is said about the food; but again, the overall experience was very nice.

Not the Same Breathless, Disappointed by the New Vibe and Lack of Energy
Two years ago, my group of 9 had an unforgettable time at Breathless Montego Bay. The music, the energy, the culture, it all felt like a true celebration of Jamaica. We couldn’t wait to come back and recreate those memories. But sadly, this time around, the resort just wasn’t the same. For an adults-only resort, the vibe was unusually quiet. Last time, there was music playing all throughout the day, giving life to the pool and creating an atmosphere of fun and connection. This time? Silence until nightfall, with barely anything happening during the day. The activity schedule that was posted was barely followed, which only added to the confusion and disconnect. Even more frustrating, the music restrictions were hard to ignore. DJs weren’t allowed to play anything with even light profanity, and line dances (which usually bring people together) were almost nonexistent, outside of “The Wobble” and a quick “Boots on the Ground.” It felt like the culture was being erased in the very country it should be celebrated. In fact, things got so dull that guests started bringing their own speakers to the pool just to create a sense of unity and keep the energy alive. When guests have to take entertainment into their own hands, that says a lot. Most people we met ended up leaving Breathless and going into town or over to Secrets just to find a good time. I was honestly embarrassed that I talked our group into coming back based on how great it used to be. Now, to be fair, the staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, and truly welcoming. And I must say, the food is still top-tier, every meal we had was flavorful and well-prepared. But great staff and great food can’t make up for the lack of vibe, culture, and daytime energy. We had planned to book our next trip while we were here, but unfortunately, that won’t be happening. This is Jamaica, the heartbeat of the Caribbean. Let it beat. Let it breathe. Let the people dance. Bring the vibe back!

Breathless was amazing
Breathless was overall very amazing. From the staff to the views and amazing entertainment. We would definitely come back again.
