Perfectly situated
I was nervous at first thinking the hotel may be too away from the action but it worked out. At daytime, though, parts of the walk to the French Quarter kinda stink (literally) as there seem to be some people using the streets as toilets. The restaurant was very convenient for times we just wanted to wind down or grab breakfast nearby. Front desk and housekeeping staff were welcoming and friendly too. Rooms were well-kept and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Pick your rooms carefully!
This hotel is in a perfect location to access the French Quarter and we enjoyed our stay in our upgraded room with a French Quarter view. However, before you book there are some important things to know. We are Marriott silver elite member (whatever that means) and booked through the Marriott site. A few days before we were to arrive I was offered an upgrade to a French Quarter view at a nominal rate and after reading reviews here decided I would pay for the upgrade. We arrived early and it would be several hours before or room was ready, which was to be expected. After exploring and arriving back after the front desk had indicated our room was ready we returned and took the elevator up to the 18th floor. As soon as we walked in I told my wife to hold on before unpacking. Room was not French Quarter view, and frankly had this been our room I would have been greatly disappointed. It was very dated from the carpeting to the doors and furniture. When I called down to the front desk and reported the room was not what I had paid for they apologized and sent some one up with a new room key card. The front desk person who arrived said they had simply wanted to give me the first room available, and my response was that was not what I paid for. We then headed up to the 19th floor and a corner room which indeed had nice views of the French Quarter as well as the city and the Mississippi river. This room was very large and since two walls were all windows it did not have the same feel as the first room in terms of feeling dated. Had we been shown this room first and I had not seen the other room I would have probably given the hotel a 4, but having seen the first room, until they do some upgrades it was definitely a 3. We did enjoy our 3 days at Pere Marquette, but would probably look elsewhere were we to return.

Parking
Plenty of spaces, easy to find, and well-lit at night. A bit pricey, but the convenience and security make it worth it. Great location near shops and restaurants. Would park here again! Great and quick service. Guy was friendly. I had a great experience

Houston Buffalo Soldiers in Nola
Service exceptional…from valet with Jermaine. To front desk and housekeeping. They truly have customers first. You can utilize their sister property for the pool. Also, located in French quarter. They give you a swim pass. I’ll be back next time .

Best part is valet
Great staff. Best valet service thanks to Marcell, who was most helpful and patient gentleman! Desmond in valet was also helpful. Moreover I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room! Great location for tourist because right in French quarter. And food within hotel or near by street
