    Total relaxation

This is one of the most relaxing and well kept resorts we’ve stayed in. The lobby area smells like flowers and has beautiful orchids all throughout. The pool is amazing. We loved the lazy river and being able to order food and drinks from poolside. The beach staff were great too. We especially loved the food. We had breakfast and dinner both days at Ocean2000. The food and service were top notch. We especially liked AJ at dinner. She was so cheerful, knowledgeable, and fun. We are coming back in February and told her she must still be here. If you are looking for a true getaway where you feel totally on vacation and pampered, come here!

Great service, great staff, great location. Shuttle option is spectacular. Prices could be better for sure. Overall the best vacation that I have had in years.

Location and food wonderful, buyer beware of room 228. Loud exhaust fan

The food was wonderful. The location was amazing. John, our beach server, made our experience over the top, once in a lifetime experience, fun fun fun. My drinks were made to order as I wanted. It cost a lot, but I was okay with that. The spa was wonderul, got a couples massage in the special Oceanview room. Now for the negative - We booked through NEA Travel (teacher's union). Had gone to other hotels without incident. When we arrived we had a person checking us in who claimed to be new. The process took over 20 minutes with many apologies and her asking for help that was not well received from the other woman. She was mean to her. I could not reach her eyeballs from the ceiling. No water, minimal explanation of hotel at check in. Whatever you do, DO NOT STAY in room 228. It has a Murphy bed that you need to pull out and locate the linens for. It squeeks and threw my back out. There is a very loud exhaust fan from Ocean 2000. One can hear it from the ocean. It is on the Atlantic Terrace. At first we thought it was cool, even with the discomfort and noise. We were so tired from travel and not knowing better I did not want to complain. I should have!! The next few days it was events set up with DJ's etc. Setting up in front of our oddly placed window, no view with workers' backs to us, though they were fun folks. After thecwedding cocktail hour I opened our shades giggled and waved to them, very friendly. They took our photo in the arch from the wedding. Fun times. Kind of cool spring on a private event. Kids were throwing things down from 7 stories up and shouting close to midnight, quiet hours are not enforced. The beach and pool could not give us towels the first day. Lots of kids in the pool. The other guests are unaware of elevator behavior, voice volume in public places, etc. kind of a trashy, loud, rude crowd statyed here. Better behavior from Maryland 2 star hotel guests. Surprised at that for the price. I personally loved the full sized iguanas roaming the beach and property, not for everyone. We couldn't really find good nightlife nearby. I didn't complain until I could not get coffee for 637 AM Sunrise. In room coffee maker was filthy. They comped me a coffee. The front desk took off the resort fees, gave us a late check out, two drinks and breakfast, but said go to Expedia( didn't know I booked through them) Apparently, this room shouldn't have been released. Staff mostly friendly, but English was very much a second language. They confused easily. Again, great location but major issues with the room; they tried to make it right. It was not everyone's fault. They did try. Fix the exhaust fan!! Omg!!!

Nice, cozy, slept like a baby.

My wife really needed a vacation and FL was all she could think about because she’s not up to flying anywhere right now. So we make the almost 9 hour drive to Ft Lauderdale. Arrived around 10pm, very tired, Valet parking or on the street??? I wanted to park on the street and then get valet at midnight but then thought I’d just be wasting my time because of the way check in was. So I opted for valet parking @ $55 plus about a $3 fee per night. Anyway we slept like babies that night and every night really. Breakfast was pretty good, lunch was ok, could have been a little more seasoned. But be ready for the 22% service charge on restaurant meals. Again the staff was nice, so I didn’t feel bad about adding gratuity. Even tipped the valet, which I’d said I wasn’t going to do because of the rate we were already paying. The hotel wasn’t extremely busy, so elevator wait time was smooth sailing up to the 9th floor. The staff were really nice. The beach was clean not over crowded, the pool was not one on the largest and the lazy river wasn’t very inviting. Meaning it was small, should have just made the pool larger. The Seaside view balcony room we had was direct view of the ocean…Loved it! The rooms were very clean and comfy. And the location was pretty close to the local restaurants. I guess if you stay in the hotel, you shouldn’t complain about the cost. You only live once, enjoy and make the best of it.
