Nov 26, 2024Beautiful beach and sunsets!
Beach was beautiful! Breakfast was amazing! So were the evening restaurants! My ONLY complaint was the service at the beach. We rarely saw anyone and had to walk to the bar for drinks. But otherwise service for breakfast, supper, and at the coffee shop were great!

This is our 7th visit at Wild Orchid. The resort is looking good after fresh paint on the buildings and general repairs. The beaches and pool areas were clean and welcoming. The best part, as always, was the staff. All were friendly and willing to help make our stay enjoyable. There are plenty of daytime activities at the resort, a very nice gym and evening entertainment was very good.

Very Disappointed in this hotel. Service staff was nice but the property was very understaffed in all areas. It was so bad, the service personel had a one day walk out to prove their point. Did the Hotel Management not see this coming and decided to roll the dice? The customers at this location all suffered from the Hotel Management miss managing the property. Preffered Beach service was only one day and one person. Just Very Disappointed and this property will not be in our future plans.

Meh!
This is an addition to my Nov 13th review of Secrets St.James! These 2 properties are side by side and both resorts share all restaurants and amenities! Cons: Buffet is small and does not have a large selection. Food is dry, overcooked and not warm. Buffet is not open except for friday nights! Each nite you need to pick an alacarte, if u don’t get there right at six you will have a long wait or eat at 9. Alacarte food is hit n miss but for the most part dry and overcooked, Not a lot of chairs at St.James pool! Yes they smell musty as the cushions are left out! Preferred use the main party pool but we can’t use preferred! Not cool! Seaside grill food is unappealing and bland! Pros: Chicken and Snapper very good at Jamaican restaurant! Lionel is a beautiful soul! Chicken lime soup is yummy as ate nachos at Mexican! Shashana is wonderful! Lamb was good at French one! Rest of the time tough! Trudi and Falicia at Seaside grill bar are beautiful souls! They give you wonderful service! PLEASE TIP EVERYONE AS most of the staff work hard since the strike. Danik helped us through our challenges for the most part! She is very sweet and they replaced my broken wheel chair! Found a pool with railing for me as i am disabled. Jerk chicken hut the chicken is tasty but dry and overcooked! Wash it down with lots of jerk sauce and Red Strype! Hubby can eat anything but even he was disappointed! Oxtail was good too! Overall would i go back or recommend, Nope, for what you pay is not worth it!

I felt there was a lack of good entertainment. Too many rentals of Cabanas where there was not adequate seating by the pool for guests. Food was excellent and room was excellent. And Resort is well kept. Other than those things a nice resort...
