Overcrowded and Chaotic – Not the Relaxing Experience We Were Looking For
We decided to check out the Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort, during our stay at the Waldorf Astoria, hoping for a change of scenery and a potential day pass. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. The resort was sheer chaos, and it felt like the hotel was overbooked. Every pool and restaurant appeared to be at full capacity, with guests crowded everywhere. Instead of the relaxing, luxurious environment we were hoping for, the Hilton Cancun felt overwhelming and hectic. It was not the peaceful, laid-back experience we were looking for. While the resort might be a great fit for guests who enjoy a bustling, high-energy atmosphere, it simply didn’t meet our expectations for a calm, enjoyable day pass. For us, this wasn’t the right place to unwind, and we’ll be sticking to quieter, more serene resorts for our future visits.

5 star review for Many
Many one of the pool staff took great care of our needs all week! Many’s service was quick and he was very knowledgeable regarding many of the questions we had about the hotel and its surroundings. I would highly recommend Many and this place and I would give a 5 star review to all the friendly staff!

This hotel was amazing !! The amenities, room size, entertainment and food were top class. However, one thing stood out the most and that was the amazing staff.. especially at breakfast. Their kindness, hard work and hospitality was second to none. I especially want to shout out Raymundo, Habran, George and a massive shout out to Bernardo!!! I can’t wait to come back and see them again. Thank you all for your kindness and care !

Secluded Bliss with a Splash of Unexpected Surprises
Just returned from my vacation at the all-inclusive Hilton Resort in Cancun, Mexico, and I’m here to share the good, and some not so good aspects of my stay. First off, this resort is located at the very south end of Cancun, which means you get to enjoy a nice long drive down a private road surrounded by mangrove bushes. So, while it’s nice and secluded, you’re pretty much committed to the resort for the entirety of your stay. If you’re hoping to stroll along Cancun's famous white sandy beaches and swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters, you might want to temper your expectations. The beach here is more of a narrow strip, and compared to the expansive Playa Delfin or Playa Marlin, it feels a little underwhelming. If your idea of a "Cancun experience" involves a great beach and blue waters, you might want to reconsider. That said, the hotel itself is pretty nice. It’s less than three years old I was told, so it still has that fresh, modern vibe. The lobby is grand, and check-in was a breeze. Even though our official check-in time was 3 PM, we arrived at 9 AM and were able to have breakfast right away and were in our room by 10. The resort has four restaurants, a buffet, five or six bars, and a couple of snack places (including a burger and burrito spot that I came across – there may be more not sure). There’s no shortage of food and drink options, and the quality is decent overall. The hotel is generally clean, although I do have a small complaint about the pool area—more on that in a second. Service was… fine. The staff is made up of hundreds of people, so while some were absolutely delightful, others seemed a little less enthusiastic. No big surprise here, although management could kick it up a notch. Pro tip: Carry a few extra dollar bills for those extra big smiles and repeat drinks. It worked like a charm! There are plenty of activities for both kids and adults, and nightly shows to keep everyone entertained. Now, on to the three things that bugged me: For a hotel of this size and price and #1 rating at the time of this writing, I was surprised that they don’t offer a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport or even into town. I was hit with an $80 taxi fare for the short 15-mile ride from the airport (the taxi mob who followed in like a hawk at the airport the minute I landed and claimed that Uber was "illegal" at the airport and would not let others to offer a different price – I had no choice — that’s a different post in a different forum). On day four, I wanted to head into town and was told that Uber isn’t allowed on the property, and I’d have to book a taxi through the hotel’s bellboy for $65 each way. So yeah, you're pretty much stuck here since it was prohibitively expensive to venture out on any side excursions. The resort has two pool areas separated by a main wing: one with a mini splash park and an infinity pool (packed with families and kids), and the other with a quieter infinity pool, mostly for adults. My big concern here was the murkiness of the family pool. Granted, it was busy with tons of guests, but the water was so cloudy I couldn’t see more than a couple of feet underwater. Not exactly what I was expecting. Lastly, the lobby bathrooms are located at least 100 yards away in either direction. Get’s to be tiring after a couple of “Old Fashioned” at the lobby bar. All in all, this resort offers a decent vacation experience, but you might just well be anywhere. But, if you're there for the all-inclusive hotel experience, you’ll be well-fed, hydrated, and somewhat entertained.

Great family holiday
Travelled to this property over the holidays 2024/2025. Family trip with two children ages 10 and 13. Overall we enjoyed this property, having stayed at numerous other AIs in Cancun, Mexico and around the Caribbean, notably the Hilton Tulum the previous Holiday season. What stood out the most was the great service, from the cleaning staff, bartenders, pool waiters, and restaurant servers and managers. Special shout out to Executive Chef Ruben who took care of our family so well. We have dietary restrictions and Ruben went above and beyond to help us in each restaurant. He was amazing, and he was expertly complimented by Israel (I believe he is the food and beverage manager), who also provided us amazing service. Special shout out to La Lucce restaurant manager Pedro, who was always helpful, attentive and kind. Pool staff was great, especially Veronika. We enjoyed the food at all the restaurants. Our favourites for lunch were Sunaan and La Taquereria. Dinner favourites were La Lucce and Maxal. As others have said, the beach is fairly small, but it's enough to get your feet in and enjoy the beautiful ocean. I like the proximity of the pools to the ocean, providing great views all day. Pool chairs - you do have to wake up very early to get a good spot - usually these were taken by 630/7am. Vela options for buffet were great - rotated for lunch and dinners, while breakfast was largely the same, but this is typical at any AI we have been to. Overall a great trip.
