    Nice Stay

This is a hotel/condo complex right on the beach in Kapa'a. You cannot swim at this beach but there are beach chairs to enjoy the view. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. We had a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent air conditioner. We had a garden view room but you could see the ocean when you set on the Lanai. This is not a full service hotel and only has a bar by the pool which is not open every day. There is no restaurant but there is a shopping center just across the parking lot with coffee shops, restaurants and retail shops. The front desk closes at 11 pm so I'm not sure what you would do if you need something in the night. Our television stopped working the second day we were there and we called for help at 6:30 pm and all the maintenance workers had gone home so we had no TV that night. But I would definately stay here again if I was in the are.

    Disappointed

Check with the hotel before booking. The pool bar is NOT OPEN and I feel jipped. We've been coming to the Islander for years and I love the pool bar. But to my disappointment it is closed because they can't find bar tender? What the heck!

    Do not recommend

Do not recommend as rooms run down and old and area not good with homeless people using the resort facilities which grosses me out . They charge a resort fee but no one pays attention to the guests and who uses the small pool or jacuzzzi . Not impressed at all , especially for an ASTON resort

    Disappointing return stay

We stayed at the Aston Islander 5 years ago and loved our stay for several reasons, this time not so much. We still love the central location, the restaurants close by are good but the hotel itself not so much. The hotel has aged a lot in 5 years and needs a lot of updating. A lot is just looking old, worn out and needing to be replaced or remodeled. The grounds are still kept up and pretty. I guess we need to spend more money next time to get a more updated hotel.

Waiting for getting my "reserved"money back.

The old computer of the Hotel did not accept my creditcard. After 3 weeks USA and 15 days Hawaii we never had any problem. Whenever we bought something expensie or just a cup of coffee. Our Hotel was booked via an agent and everything was already prepaid. Even so they dis not let us in. We had to wait many hours, making phonecalls with our Agent and Creditcompany in The Netherlands (12 hours timedifference), Finally, without apoligy) that let us in. But still now on my creditvard I see they still are holding back an amout of US$. 250,00. Since 19th of April 2025). They only have a telephonenumber on the site and not an e-mail address.
