Nice hotel with a good location
I had a very good experience with this hotel. It is located in Poipu which was a perfect location for all my vacation activities. The resort sits on two sides of the street. One part had the check-in desk, concierge, and valet service along with the garden view rooms. There was a pool for the units on this side of the resort. The second part of the resort was the beach side. There was a pool with bar service, restaurants, fitness room, and cafe. Most of the activities were on this side of the resort. I had an ocean view room so spent most of my time on the beach side of the resort. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Hotel staff were always available to answer a question. There was a bit of confusion with the valet and loosing my car. It was a minor mix-up with the initial drop off of the car when I checked in but the problem was rectified fast and I was not late for my appointment. Otherwise, the valet attendants were friendly and prompt when pulling my car. There are two restaurants on site. I ate at both. Service was good with friendly servers. Food was tasty and served promptly. I did use the cafe a few times for grab and go options like a salad or wrap when I wanted something lite to eat. They also have snacks and some alcohol options for taking to your room. I liked having the cafe available as it gave me more flexibility with food options. The only thing I really questioned was room housekeeping. When I entered the room, there was a nice display on the bed with shell necklaces used to spell out 'Aloha'. I thought this was a nice way to greet the guest. Housekeeping serviced the room every day. I always had fresh towels, bed was made and trash removed. Not completely sure if vacuuming occurred very day. I noticed dirt marks on the duvet and bed skirt which were not caused from me. Not completely sure sink and toilet area were wiped down every day. The things I noticed were minor but I did notice them. Overall, the experience was good with no major complaints about the servicing of the room. I had a really enjoyable time at this resort. I would recommend it to anyone who plans to travel to Kauai. My recommendation would be to choose an ocean view room it possible. The beach/ocean view was amazing. I never had far to walk to the pool or restaurants plus hearing the ocean was relaxing.

Extremely Disappointing Stay- Book Elsewhere!
We had a terrible experience at the Sheraton Kauai Resort and I strongly advise against staying here. Unfortunately, prior to our arrival, the staff went on strike. What made it worse was that we weren’t notified about this at any point before we got there. Upon arrival, we were not offered a single accommodation or any type of explanation. When we inquired, we were simply told to contact the corporate office. After multiple attempts, we finally reached Nikki Joseph, who informed us that Sheraton had no intention of addressing the poor conditions we were experiencing and that they would not offer any compensation. The state of the resort was appalling. There was trash scattered everywhere, the pool was filthy, all the restaurants were closed, and housekeeping services were non-existent. While some of these issues were clearly tied to the ongoing strike, it was also painfully obvious that the resort has been neglected and mismanaged for years. To charge over $800 a night under these conditions and not offer any sort of discount or accommodation is, frankly, unacceptable. It's incomprehensible that they expect guests to feel like they’re getting the full resort experience under such circumstances. Although the strike may have ended by now, the poor management and lack of customer care won’t simply vanish overnight. This is an underlying issue that seems deeply ingrained in how this resort operates. Save yourself the trouble and disappointment – look elsewhere when booking your stay in Kauai.

Visit during Dec 2023
This hotel offers a range of activities for both adults and kids. This is a nice place to stay for a family. There was a kitchen in my room which allows me to make some food when I was hungry at night. There's also a small sofa area, which allows my family to play board game on the table together. It also offers snacks and drinks as a welcome gift. It also has an event where we get to eat dinner outside while watching some nice shows and accompanied by a beautiful beach. Overall, it is a nice hotel to stay and visit.

Sheraton Kauai September 2024
We have been to The Islands multiple times; this was our first time to Kauai and we loved it! The population is 73k making it quainter and quieter than the other islands. Our villa 8104 was on the ground floor, across from the pool and main BBQ area. Villas are clean nicely decorated; bit on the smaller side, 2min walk to the beach. Pool is large and quiet, w/bathrooms, water filter station and outdoor shower. Swim, surf, or just hangout at the beach. Local tourist shops and food trucks nearby about 1 mile. Onsite hourly activities; learn to hula, play ukulele, lei and bracelet making, etc. Bonvoy members can get boogie boards no charge. Parking is easy (valet or self-park). It’s a quieter island; no super hwys most places shut down around 9pm. Visiting Princeville area allow for time. That said the property is an easy drive from the airport and Costco (about 25 mins). Would we go back to property? YES! The location was perfect and staff was awesome!

There are better places......
I felt this hotel used misleading descriptions and is really not great value. Despite being close to the water, the terms "deluxe" and "luxury" do not fit this hotel at all. The rooms are tired and dated. We had what seemed to be a herd of elephants above us and the late night neighborly shouted expletive conversations at one another, in graphic detail, were of limited entertainment value. We checked out after one night, which yes, cost a night's stay, but was worth it for our sanity. I had contacted the Concierge about trying to upgrade our room and found that all a $120 extra would get was 20 Sq Ft of the same. Why? If you want luxury, don't do this to yourself, there are much better out there. This was a disappointing mistake.
