Have fun but won’t go here again.
Wouldn’t really choose this place and would not do the preferred not worth it. Just book an excursion and enjoy your time. The lazy river is very small you never get a floaty or have to wait for a seat in the section. Butler service not so great. Better off tipping your bell boys for help, they work harder than the butlers. I did have a great time not the place you are looking for if you want to eat Dominican food though. They don’t have many options at all.

Splurge on Preferred
I stayed here on a vacation with my mom and we enjoyed every second of it. We upgraded to preferred at check-in and it was the best decision. We had access to fancier accommodations, a personal butler/concierge, exclusive experiences and spaces. It was worth it. The staff here is incredibly friendly (we made friends with some of them) and the resort is gorgeous. While we didn’t love all the food, everything had great presentation. They had so many activities planned during the day to keep you entertained. They also have nightly shows that were high energy but also seemed a little bit over the top/cheesy at times. The drinks were all pretty watered down and too sweet..but that’s to be expected at all inclusive sometimes. It was easy and convenient to book a tour and get a taxi from the lobby. Just an fyi, this is not a party at the pool all night kind of hotel…around 7/8 the pools are mostly empty and people go inside for the night although they do have a casino and club that I didn’t check out. Loved this experience!

Amazing Adults only Vacation Resort
This resort is just amazing and I would highly recommend this resort. When we arrived we were greeted by a representative with a cool towel and offered us a beverage. After the flight and the trip from the airport this was welcomed. This hospitality continued after we checked in with a familiarization tour of the resort. Our rooms were perfect for us. They were clean, the refrigerator were stocked and bottled water was made available in the main room as well as in the bathroom. The refrigerator and water bottles were restocked everyday and in the event something was missed the staff was more than willing to get it for us. The AC system was able to keep us comfortable with the warm weather and the cable stations provided a variety of stations keeping us connected with sports, news, movies, and popular shows. Remember to keep the room doors closed or the AC will turn off. If you are staying for a couple days or a week it is very valuable to load the resort app as it provides the guest with the list of activities, entertainments, drink of the day hours restaurants are open. We also enjoyed the resort WiFi to communicate with the other members of our family. The resort restaurants provide a wide variety of beverages, foods, and desserts so you should try them all and they are located in convenient locations. The La Riviera buffet, Hibachi, and El Patio restaurants were some of our favorites. We were also somewhat surprised on dress attire as the dinner requirements were not enforced when we stayed in July 2025. This may not be the case during the busy season but make sure you know the different restaurant dress codes before you come. Also make reservations when you arrive as some popular restaurants like the Hibachi fill-up quickly and we saw some couples waiting when they were really hungry. We were lucky as we were able to get a 8:00pm reservation the day before we had to leave. The bars have what I would call top shelf liquors so definitely try the mocktails and cocktails. I do think paying extra for preferred was worth it. This provided us with access to select bars, food areas, pools, beach access and rooms. After having all of the beverage and food options available it was nice to have the fitness center which has a good selection of equipment to include treadmills and opened early to get us moving. It was just a little difficult to locate but we were able to find it we were good to go. The bathrooms on the resort are readily available wherever you are on the property. The pools are beautiful and the white sand beach is too. We enjoyed morning Yoga and Beach volleyball. The only issue we had was with the seaweed coming in after a storm but the resort tried to keep the beach clear. When we were looking for a particular spot on the beach or pool we needed to get out there before 8am or the good locations will be taken by other guests leaving towels or books on the chairs to reserve them. We also went over to the Dreams Royal Beach Family resort to walk the Mangrove bridge where we were able to see lizards, cranes, and pelicans. Definitely worth the walk. When making transportation to and from the airport and resort reservations we highly recommend using AMStar as we had no issues. Other Recommendations: - Bring plenty of good sunscreen and aloe as the prices at the resort are pretty high and we saw a number of people that looked like red beets making the rest of the vacation difficult when you have to stay out of the sun. - Load the Resort app to get the sundial page - Bring a float or blowup ball for the pools and/or lazy river - Bring a football/soccer ball to throw and play on the beach. - Take a walk along the beautiful beach - Enjoy a Latte at the La Riviera Buffet

Fun and entertaining
The entertainment team at this resort is one of the best. They all seemed to enjoy what they do and how they keep the guests up to date on the activities. They all were heavily engaged during my stay. Big shoutouts to Junior and J. Frozzono
