Was fabulous! Tiki bar drinks and food, fabulous! Steakhouse staff and food fabulous,( please do not make us pay for bread) hotel clean, again, staff fabulous! See you soon, Bonny Bass and Patricia lenahan quick note… the guys by the pool were super awesome too!

Clean, but they charge for literally EVERYTHING! $32 for parking !?! Food in restaurants was good, tasty but expensive. We were there for a convention and after paying over $800 for three nights, we were charged an additional $235 for things we didn't even use. Water slide (we're in our 70's!), we couldn't believe it. Sad.

Difficult to navigate, expensive
The room itself was really comfy after a long day walking between panels at The Chosen Insiders Conference this past weekend. I had bought my ticket to the conference 5 months ago then went to book this hotel that same day only to discover the very big price tag for 3 nights. Wowza. So, I booked a neighboring hotel instead, until I found a roommate to split the costs with. She already booked here so then I was able to stay on site by paying her for half. I canceled the other hotel. Finally, the day came to arrive at the hotel. She checked in before I arrived, and she dealt with the hotel stuff herself. So I can't comment on the staff etc. We received no housekeeping the entire time because my roommate left the notice thing on the door. Sigh. This resort is seriously confusing and big, difficult to find your way around. I probably won't stay again, too pricey and too big. We were charged a resort fee but we never used any of the resort stuff. We had no time because we were there for Chosen Con.

Beautiful hotel near Disney. You can see the Disney fireworks from the hotel. The hotel lobby is very nice and spacious. Check in was easy as I arrived before my convention started. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a king pool view room and it was a very large well appointed room. It is one of the larger king rooms I have ever stayed in. I had contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to see if there was a fridge in the room and was told no, only a cooler. There was a fridge in my room. Perhaps the person replying to my question didn't understand? Anyway, it was nice to have as I could put the free water bottle in the fridge, There were plenty of places to plug in my technology. I liked that most of the floor was vinyl plank, this is necessary when you have a water park at your hotel. The small amount of carpet helped me find the bed in the dark. I would suggest a small nightlight in the bathroom. The convention facilities were very nice. I was so thankful for comfortable upholstered chairs instead of hard plastic. It was a bit pricey but I wanted to stay on site of the convention. So if we have another Chosen Con there, I would go back.

Sep 23, 2024Horrible experience from start to finish.
One of the most poorly run hotels I’ve ever seen. The buildings are nice and fairly new, appointments throughout are very nice as well. The staff is friendly and helpful, that’s the end of the list of good things. The layout is idiotic, it takes far too long to get anywhere. It’s also confusing, finding anything in this place is awful. The maps have very little information and might as well be turned off. It’s also dirty, despite the cleaning staff clearly working hard, they simply don’t have enough people for this monstrosity. Even in the middle of the night, you see trash everywhere, in otherwise empty spaces there is still trash along the wall or on ledges. The food is bad. Just bad, everything is overpriced even by resort standards, which only makes the bland, flavorless food even worse. They also don’t have enough food to actually feed everyone if they’re hosting any conventions. I was unable to get food or anything from Starbucks for two days because they were just too busy to get anything in a reasonable time. Even worse than the food being bad, during a catered event they served desserts with alcohol that were not labeled, even though they did have allergy and gluten warnings. I’m a recovering alcoholic, I was frankly furious that I consumed alcohol. I, and everyone with food issues or anyone in recovery depend on accurate labeling to protect our health or sobriety. This is a serious, and completely amateurish oversight. The location is also terrible. The parks are very close but still difficult to get to as the entire resort is surrounded by highways with no foot traffic access out of the property. Once you’re on property, you’re stuck without paying even more money for a ride, or waiting on a very limited shuttle schedule. The resort itself self is far from anything in Orlando that isn’t a theme park. If you want to see anything in Orlando proper, avoid this place. On top of all that, nothing is clearly labeled and the maps are useless, they have no information that helps you get anywhere. The pool is ok, but the water park section looks dirty and run down; and despite the signs cleaning sayin the water park is open till 6:00, they shut down the slides and locked up a full 45 minutes early. There were no storms or any dangerous conditions, they just shut it down because they wanted to. And, finally, I had to share a room despite the absolutely insane number of rooms, and this was a full month ahead of time, so it wasn’t last minute. They clearly overload past their capacity since it must cost millions a day to keep this place “running.” Don’t come here, don’t give them your money, don’t support mindless greed. They don’t care about you once they’ve got your money. The staff was great, but Marriott needs to think hard about how this place is run. Instead of their crown jewel, this is a lead weight.
