    Excellent and immaculate

First impression was great, looked clean and welcoming. We stopped over for 8 nights. Room was very clean along with all the common areas. Breakfast was very expensive at $29 per person but I’m sure it would have been lovely based on the quality of food we received in the restaurant at night as we ate twice. Universal guest desk, large internal souvenir shop and take away shop with fantastic hot and cold food. Highly recommend, and great value for money!!

    Lovely holiday

We stayed at Sapphire Falls for 10 days in February as we were visiting the universal theme parks. 2 adults and 3 children. The hotel is lovely. Its spacious and clean and as soon as you walk in there is a lovely smell all over the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, I didn't meet any miserable or rude staff at all. Everyone we spoke to couldn't do enough for us and were great with the children. We stayed in a standard family room with 2 double beds, which I looked at on YouTube and I was afraid there wouldn't be room for our 5 large suitcases and 5 hand luggage cases. I needn't have worried, the room is more spacious in real life. As there were five of us we required an extra bed. I called the hotel a week before I arrived and asked if i had to pay for this. I had already paid in full for five people months before we arrived so I thought it was a bit cheeky to be expected to pay another 350 dollars for an extra bed. I ended up taking an inflatable camping bed that rolls into a bag. We were already packing the pool inflator for the pool rings and the camping bed is comfy and took up less room than the hotels rollaway bed. There was some confusion as the hotel charged my credit card for the bed we didn't use and I spent 3 or 4 trips to reception before it was resolved and the money refunded. I can't be upset about this because the staff were just so helpful and friendly that I trusted them to sort it out. The bathroom doesn't offer a lot of privacy, this didn't bother us as we are a family but friends going together might want to take this into consideration. The pool was open til late and it was heated so it was nice to come back from a hectic day at the parks. There were movies played at the pool side which was nice for the kids and there were plenty of life guards who all seemed attentive. The convenience of the water taxi is why we chose an onsite hotel, we had stayed previously on International Drive and the decision to stay onsite was so much better. We often found ourselves going to the parks early, coming back to the hotel after lunch for a little rest and then popping back over to the parks for the afternoon. Even the water taxi staff are friendly, everyone always seems in a great mood. The frequency of the water taxis means there are no long waits. The biggest problem I had was during checkout were someone had accidentally charged another guests order to my room. The hotel receptionist checked and realised that the room numbers were similar and said I wouldn't be charged. When i got back to England my credit card had been charged and it was a bit of a faff trying to get it sorted. Eventually a man called Padraig saw my email and was apologetic and immediately refunded me. Again, even though it was hassle I trusted I would get the money back as the staff just can't do enough for you. We are planning to return to Florida. I was hoping to stay in the Hard Rock next time purely for the fast passes but my children and husband had such a great time at this hotel that we will definetly consider staying here again. I would recommend this hotel, its clean and comfortable. Easy convenience for the parks, along with early access. It feels safe and family friendly.

    Do not expect to sleep!

I had to give this hotel a 2 star review because I felt the negatives very much outweigh the positives in this review. First off I want to say that the staff at the front desk are very nice and genuinely want you to have fun and the hotel is very nice and clean. That being said, do not expect to get into your room before 4PM. I have never been to a hotel with a check in that late. I feel they can prioritize the rooms that need to be ready for new guests but they don’t seem to do that here. It really makes it hard to get in from traveling all morning to have to wait in the lobby with all your luggage. Second, the noise level at night was horrible. My room was apparently located next to the staff room so EVERY night I was there the night staff came in between 1am and 2am and all I heard was banging and people talking loudly until about 4am. I know that there is always noise in a hotel but I usually don’t have to deal with it from the staff. I complained and the manager was very nice and gave me a credit for a few meals and a late checkout but that did not stop the noise. The last night was the worst, banging so loud it shook my room. I would never stay here again because I really didn’t get much sleep at all. I feel the maintenance/cleaning departments and the front of house are very disjointed and do not communicate well. It is very unfortunate because this is a problem that can be solved but they just try to give credits and small perks instead of getting to the root of the issue. I do appreciate management for reaching out to me after I put in a complaint but I will not be coming back here again.

    Beautiful resort!

Beautiful resort! Our suite was lovely with lots of room, comfy bed, and super clean. The pool is unbelievable! Staff incredibly helpful, polite, and friendly. The water taxi to Universal was a great ride on its own, and the drivers always helpful and friendly. We stayed there 11 nights, and had a wonderful time. We ate at all the dining options. It would have been nice to have a few more options on the menus, but really cannot complain! Best french fries we have ever eaten! The pool area was likely our favourite menu; Amatista had an amazing morning buffet; hello to Kathleen at Strong Water Tavern--the churro bowl ice cream was delicious; and the New Dutch Trading Co had enough options for a quick and healthy breakfast to go! Loved the "chat" option from the hotel if we had any questions or concerns. All questions were always answered immediately. A wonderful stay! Thank you so much!

    Ultimate vacation vibes

From the moment you step into Sapphire Falls, you can feel the vacation vibes. Express passes are severely over rated (especially when staying 3 or more days), and with this hotel you’re getting the premier feel without paying an exorbitant amount for “included” express. The rooms are gorgeous, well maintained, and spacious. The bedding is glorious. The water taxi is ridiculously convenient. After a long day in the the parks, it’s the best way to travel back to your hotel. The pool is massive, and beautifully themed. It was a bit chilly during our visit, but they have fire pits, and the pool is well heated. Best benefit: the restaurants that are housed at Sapphire Falls. Strong Water is easily the best spot in all of the resorts. Amatista has never disappointed. Overall you cannot go wrong booking this hotel. Stay a few nights and you’ll be hooked.
